Thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Kamaole Sands

“Home away from Home”

The Condo was in a great location and was very clean. It was well stocked and very homey. I would definitely stay there again. There was a mildew smell that did go away once the condo got opened up and the air conditioner didn't work very well. The bedroom had fans but needs an air conditioner and there is no TV in the master bedroom. For some that is a plus but I love to wind down with some sort of distraction in before bed. T

The grounds were fabulous. well kept, great pool, BBQ facilities etc. Was very impressed by how safe and quiet it was, especially since I was travelling with my 10 month old baby. The staff were very helpful with the exception of one fellow who was working the desk when we arrived. The unit was comfortable. Nothing fancy. Could use some upgrading (get rid of old carpets and curtains, add a/c to bedroom etc.) however it was spacious, in a great location and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Kamaole Sands the location was excellent. The view from the lanai was very peaceful along with the beautiful sunsets. The accommodations were comfortable but could do with some up-grading. In all we enjoyed ourselves.

“Spacious, Great Location!”

Reviewed 5 Dec 2012

Location was right across from nice beach. Check in/out was quick and easy. The place was clean and had some nice extras like beach mats, cooler, and boogie board. I really appreciated having the ice maker in the freezer, the washer and dryer, and dishwasher. Some of the kitchen amenities were pretty old, like scratched up frying pans and dull knives. But not a huge deal since we didn't do much cooking. My only real complaint is that the bedroom doesn't have air conditioning! There is only one air conditioning unit and it's in the opposite end of the condo by the back door and right near the sofa bed. So, if you have 4 guests sleeping there and want to close the bedroom door, it gets really hot and stuffy in the bedroom. Opening the window is not really an option since the unit is on the 1st FL and the bedroom window looks out onto the main entrance of the bldg where the elevators are. Very little privacy (or light, since the shades must always be closed) in the bedroom. Other than that poor design, we had a great stay and would definitely use this place again.

Beautiful location for a relaxing vacation, all the amenities you need are at your disposal, beaches, good eats (Maui Taco's :)It is time to get rid of the carpet in the main room! Carpets and the tropics don't go together well(sometimes smelly) All in all it's a great complex and a great condo.

“A memorable vacation”

Reviewed 15 Oct 2012

We really enjoyed staying in the Kamaole Sands. It worked perfectly for our family of two adults two kids ages 6 and 8. The location on the bottom floor was very convenient both for the kids and for us adults when going to the pool or to the barbeque area. Being able to borrow two boogie boards was an additional plus. Dive Goggles were broken, though, but that didn't bother us since we had our own gear. Would definitely like to come back at some point!

“Close to the beach”

Reviewed 31 Jul 2012

Kamaole Sands is a great place. Near the beach and walking distance to most everything. Nice patio where we could eat outside.

“Great location, Needs updating”

Reviewed 5 Jul 2012

This condo was in the absolute perfect spot in the complex. It's a ground floor unit which makes the lanai a perfect spot for dinner. The lanai was large with lots of space to have friends over and looked out onto the green courtyard with beautiful ponds and fountains at night. Partial ocean view as well! The suite itself is in need of updating. Furnishings are quite dated. Shower doors in en-suite were falling off. The supplies in the kitchen were also quite old and very much need to be replaced. It would have also been nice to have air conditioning. All in all it was a great location and how much time do you really spend inside, in Maui?
