“Very clean with a lot of room”
We enjoyed our stay. Everything was there that we needed. High clawed tub may not be good for the elderly is the only negative we could see.
“Quiet Bungalow in convenient neighborhood”
I stayed at this home for 4 nights with my friend for an extended weekend holiday. The photos are pretty accurate of what you will be getting. It's a duplex with a master bedroom at the top floor. Please note that there is no door to this bedroom, it's basically in a converted attic space. There are 2 other beds on the ground floor next to the dining area. I love the cute IKEA furnishings and well stocked kitchen. My friend and I were so happy to have pots and cooking tools to make breakfast after stopping by the Saturday farmer's market and Antoinelle's cheese shop. There is a laundry room outside of the house that is located in a separate garage. Bring your own detergent and flashlight. Pete was super helpful throughout the booking process.
“Wonderful austin Stay”
Spent 9 days in this unit, happily. Spacious, comfortable, fully equipped. It's an excellent Hyde Park location, good coffee, bakery, trattoria, grocery all within walking distance. Famous Central Market just 5 mins drive.
“Fantastic place to say - we loved it”
The place looks as clean and fresh in person as it does on line. It was immaculate and had everything we needed. We stayed here while looking for a home and enjoyed the ease of not needing to bring dishes/cookware/hairdryer etc with us. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe and it was fun to stroll around and walk to restaurants in the area - also a 30 min walk to the UT campus. Parking was never an issue either. Pete was great, very friendly, always responded quickly to our questions, and when there was a minor issue with the stove, he addressed immediately. We stayed for 2 months and would have stayed longer had we not found a house. We will highly recommend Pete's properties to friends and family who want there own place when they visit.
“Charming austin House”
This was a perfect house for our long weekend in austin! The house was super clean, safe and only about a 10 min drive down to sixth street ($15 cab ride). The owner was also helpful and friendly during the booking process, as well as before check-in / after check-out.
“Great Two Week Stay in austin”
Had the pleasure staying in the B Unit of this property while in austin visting our son. Great location - within walking distance of a number of fantastic restaurants/stores! The rental is situated in a quiet upscale neighborhood. Unit had all of the amenities one could want and the property is well maintained, clean and spacious! Having a laundry was a real plus and area parking was readily available and not an issue. Pictures accurately represent this property and we would highly recommend staying at this property for your austin stay (we intend on staying here again the next time we're in town). The owner is a phone call away in the event he's needed and lives within walking distance. A great stay and we look forward to our stay in this property in the future!
I rented from Pete so that my family could stay close to my apartment while they were in town. The place was clean, peaceful, and nicely decorated, and my parent's enjoyed having the space and the ability to cook breakfast for themselves at a fraction of the price it would cost to stay in a hotel. I will definitely recommend this apartment to future visitors!
“Very nice and comfortable home away from home”
My husband and I and another couple stayed at this beautiful Hyde Park Home and really enjoyed it. The apartment is exactly the way it looks on the internet. The place if very clean and well furnished. The location was perfect for us. Easy walk to restaurants, shops, central market, park, etc... We recommend this beautiful apartment to anybody and hope to stay there again when we go back to austin.
“Great place to stay in austin!!!”
The house is very well located and immaculate. Pictures shown are accurate. We stayed here with our daughter for two weeks while moving within austin. It was a great home-away-from-home and very comfortable, spacious, and clean. Pete was a great host and very accommodating of our changing needs and dates for our length of stay. Neighborhood is very charming and in a great location for seeing and visiting in austin.
“All around great spot and the owner is good people”
My wife and stayed here 4 nights. We have nothing but good things to say about the location (Hyde Park is about as cool a neighborhood as you'll find anywhere) and the unit we stayed in (clean, comfortable, nice layout) and the fellow who rented the place to us (everything went well and we were provided with exactly what we needed to know to make the rental simple). We were there to visit our son at UT who lives near campus and it was an ideal spot for that purpose. I originally thought we were going to getting the whole house but learned on arrival that the house is broken up into three different rental units. The only drawback to the place was that the bathroom is not on the same floor as the master bedroom (upstairs) and if you're tall, you need to watch your head on the stairs (you'd think I'd figure that out after the first night, but I bumped my head almost every time I walked it in the dark). As drawbacks go, I'd take this any day for the location and the overall comfort of the place.
