“What a wonderful place”
We totally enjoyed our stay at Parliament 2. It was centrally located which made it perfect for tourists. It was a bit noisy at night with revelers and early morning with the doves and seagulls, but neither was bad. The apartment itself was well appointed and comfortable. It took us a bit to learn to use the appliances and how to adjust the heat. However, once we did we were very happy.
“Convenience and comfort”
Perfect location in centre of Edinburgh. Castle,Palace,Parliament all within walking distance. Numerous hostelries for eats and drinks very close. Flat spacious, well equipped with excellent, large open living room.
we were really well greated and had a lovely stay in this superb appartment situated in the stunning castle area of the beautiful city of Edinburgh. we came to see Scotland France and had the most wonderful 4 days. We would definately book again if we come back to Edinburgh. thank you again Cedric
“Clasdy spacious apartment”
Great location and dave was on hand with lots of info on the area. Apartment was huge, very clean and comfortable. Fab jacuzzi bath and lovely and warm despite the huge size of apartment. It was a bit noisy through the night as there is a walkway down the side of the apartment. Was not too troublesome though as we were up late ourselves, and it was a top floor apartment. Overall I would really recommend this apartment, thought it was great value and would stay here again.
I stayed in this flat with my family and we just loved!!! Perfect location, very spacious and airy, well organized, complete furniture and equipment (at kitchen, living roos, rooms), nice and confortable, beautiful, very good shower!!! We don't have any negative issue about it! Also the reception and and contact with the manager was very easy and good. We definetely recommend!
Our experience was a bit hit and miss. The apartment was a little expensive for what we got. There was a lot of noise, didn't feel cosy as there were no curtains or blinds on most of the windows in the lounge. We had to take our rubbish out before we vacated and there was bits of food and rubbish under the chaise in the Kitchen and lounge. Location was good and plenty to do.
Response from the manager I can only apologise that in your opinion Parliament Sq 2 did not meet the usual high standards consistently experienced by most of the guests who book the property. As there was only two people in your party and you were travelling as a couple, perhaps it might have been a better option to book a more economical one bedroom property. It was still however a very low price of only 156 pounds per night for a superior two bedroom property on the Royal Mile over the premier dates of Christmas. I concede there are no curtains in the lounge but they are not required as this room is not overlooked or used as a sleeping area. Both bedrooms have working shutters and heavy curtains. It is not unreasonable in self catering accommodation to ask guests to put their rubbish in the large bins just outside this particular property and leave it in a reasonable order on departure. I have spoken to the cleaners about your observations of food stuff & rubbish under the kitchen chaise (the lounge does not have one) and they were surprised by this accusation but apologise if this was the case. They have assured me they will pay particular attention to this area on future visits.
This is a very swish and well furnished apartment right in the centre of Edinburgh. We were met by Dave who showed us round and explained how everything worked. There's everything you need if you are eating in but you are also in the centre of a great area for restaurants. You are also above Parliament square where the ghost tours start so don't be alarmed if you hear the odd shriek from below. Very comfortable and spacious and ideally located for exploring Edinburgh. Best to leave your car parked on the outskirts of the city and take the bus in.
“Location, location, location”
This is a beautiful apartment right in the heart of Edinburgh. Surrounded by shops and eateries on the royal mile. Princess Street is just a 10 minute stroll away. The apartment has 2 nice sized double bedrooms, a large, well equipped kitchen and a huge, lounge diner and a luxury shower and jacuzzi bath. Really enjoyed our stay.
“Lovely apartment- all the amenities of home!”
Being met by Dave as a personal service was greatly appreciated on a nasty, rainy day! The apartment is in the best location for walking to everything we needed, attractions, shopping & transportation. Free internet & a flatscreen TV is on our must have list anywhere we travel. The apartment was warm, clean & comfortable. Shuttered bedroom windows,& a comfy couch! Bedding & linens were soft and plentiful. Every detail was thought of,little things like kitchen needs, to the big, black book of information. The worst thing about the location of this apartment was not under Esc's control, the noise from the the restaurant halfway down the close. Everynight it was the same thing, noisy staff either talking/yelling on their smoke breaks or taking the garbage/recycle up to the main street. The sound amplified like I have never heard before! Nothing like 3 guys taking 15 minutes to dump a giant garbage can full of glass bottles into the dumpster at 2am and then dragging the wheeled can down the cobblestones! The only night it wasn't a problem was when two police officers were at a call at the restaurant! The nightly ghost tours were always before midnight and maybe lasted 5 minutes, a couple of squeaks by the ladies and it was over. Note, the other factor to take into consideration was that it was "freshers" week! We passed a drinking establishment at the bottom of our close that was open to 3am! All factors considered, we would definitely stay with ESC again, their website is one of the best I have seen. Both Dave and Glenn answered our e-mails quickly and helped immensely with any questions I had. Apartment pictures were fantastic, with accurate charges, easy methods of payments and the fastest key deposit return that I have ever encountered! Properties that ESC offers gives us a great choice of areas so, studying the surrounding businesses to determine the street noise should help the next time we visit Edinburgh, we will be back to stay with ESC!Thanks Dave & Glenn!
“perfect location and lovely place”
We needed somewhere near the castle and all the hotels were too expensive, so for the 4 of us this was perfect. Very clean, all mod cons and comfortable. And so quiet considering where we were. Definately recommend.
