Description
Beautiful charming flat, very romantic, old residence of the great-grandfather of the owner, notary in Montepulciano. Entirely, recently renovated, very quiet, in a magnificent position: in the centre of town, but facing the city walls, in a dominant position. Two nice bedrooms elegantly furnished, both with hardwood floors, beautiful frescoed '800 ceilings and a magnificent view of the entire Val di Chiana and Trasimeno Lake.

Montepulciano, known as "the pearl of the '500", offers numerous artistic treasures, and is visited each year by thousands of tourists from all over the world. Numerous restaurants, with excellent Tuscan cuisine (do not miss the 'pici' and the steak of Chianina).
Miss a visit to the cellars where they produce the famous wine Nobile, and particularly to wineries of Redi and of Contucci, two of the most ancient and evocative, with the possibility of tasting the famous wine.
For a pleasant stop for a cup of tea or an appetizer, we recommend the famous Caffè Poliziano, on the Course, in exquisite 'Liberty' style, already favourite by Federico Fellini and other artists.
No shortage of cultural and folklore: Fair May 1st is famous throughout the province; throughout the month of July various representations(Theater, music and dance) of the Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte with artists from all over the world.
In the days around August, the evening takes place outdoors, in Piazza Grande, 'Bruscello' popular representation in costume, last of a tradition a time living in the countryside of Siena.
Between the end of August and early September are held 'Dinners in Contrada', rendezvous for gourmets, where the Contrades of town will compete in rounds of dishes ...
And finally, the last Sunday of August, we dispute the 'Bravìo delle Botti', a kind of prize that test themselves representatives of Contrade, preceded by a magnificent parade in costume is accented with the fantastic flag bearers local.

Response from the owner I thank you for appreciating my home, the furnishings, the comfort of the beds, the completeness of the equipment, as well as my efforts to make the guests feel at ease and facilitate them in every possible way. I'm very sorry for the traffic noise: it's the first time it happens because traffic is generally very low and no guest has ever complained! Moreover the windows are insulating both from cold/heat and from noise. Evidently you have come to an unlucky and rare moment of intense and noisy traffic. I am sorry and I hope, if you want to return, that you will be more fortunate!
