This luxury villa, Casa Estrella de Bacalar, is located on the shore of pristine, tropical Laguna Bacalar, "The Lake of Seven Colors." It is next door to the beautiful boutique, eco-resort, Rancho Encantado. Designed by noted architect, Ricardo Romay, its open, spacious floor plan provides a complete view of the laguna. Extensive landscaping with tropical gardens provide a feeling of privacy, Gated entry shared with Rancho Encantado.

Getting around

We are 4 kms from the town of Bacalar. We are located in a secluded cove, yet next to the Eco-resort of Rancho Encantado. Walking to town is possible, but better advised would be to rent a car, or take a taxi. If you plan on visiting the nearby beaches or ruin sites, car rental is a good idea, or taxi service can be arranged via the numbers provided in Casa Estrella. Furthermore, purchasing Day Passes through Rancho Encantado offers significant discounts for boat tours and tours of the ruin sites.

Interaction with guest

Casa Estrella is a private villa in a private cove. However, we are next door to our friends, the outstanding eco-resort Rancho Encantado, which will give you the choice of enjoying the privacy of the house, or walking over to the Rancho to enjoy their open air restaurant and bar. Through purchasing a day pass from Rancho Encantado, you can enjoy their decks and water kayaks, as well as receiving discounts on the rancho's services, including massages and spa treatments, restaurant, tours, use of their swimming pool and hot tub, and more.
