Fairydean Mill is a hidden gem of a B & B just 16 miles from Central Edinburgh and close to Peebles.

The Mill has now been sympathetically extended to incorporate a beautiful family home with a nearby Cake Decorating Studio, producing some of the most stunning Designer Wedding Cakes in Scotland.

The atmosphere is relaxed and luxurious. You may wake to the sounds of woodland birdsong and fall asleep to the echoing music of Fairydean Burn, which runs through the garden.

Fairydean Mill offers exceptional luxury B & B accommodation while you take time to experience and explore the Scottish Borders. There is much to see and do, so take time to plan your activities and get the best from your visit.

Getting around

There is a regular bus service in nearby Eddleston Village which is just ten minutes walk from Fairydean. Buses run to Edinburgh, Peebles, Galashiels on a regular basis and there’s also a good taxi service in Peebles.

We are your hosts, David and Mandi and are lucky enough to live at Fairydean Mill so will be on site to welcome you, show you to your room(s) and make sure you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We like to offer all our guests complimentary tea/coffee and cakes on arrival so if you would like to partake please just let us know in advance of your arrival. We have a good knowledge of the area and it’s many attractions so will be more than happy to help if you require any information or help during your stay.

“Everything was perfect”

We had a lovely, comfortable stay with out dog for 5 days. We couldn't have asked for more - the food was delicious, the bed was comfortable, the shower was great. The hosts made sure we were well fed, even though we have awkward diets. We would love to stay again.

How do damage deposits work?

If David (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
