The ocean views from the private roof terrace are just stunning ! Your bedroom opens right up to this large covered terrace complete with a second bathroom and its outdoor shower!

Playa's most unique Caribbean beach condo. The one bedroom penthouse suites at the Plantation House present a refined collaboration of Classic and exotic elements. With Caribbean features like detailed wood finishes, white shutters, plus authentic artisan finishes like our antique coloured floors, handmade furnishings, tropical wood floors. It has an appealing sensation of being somewhere exotic, with all the comforts we love in our vacation homes.

The bedroom has a beautiful sea view right from your ultra comfortable bed. The awning on your terrace lets you enjoy the space with its views and sea breezes for breakfast coffee or mid day drinks. The lights from Cozumel glitter on the horizon and occasional guests enjoy a full moon rising from your lounge.

The penthouse has a small but fully equipped kitchen, and laundry washer. Living and Dinning area. Two full bathrooms.

We have a luggage lift in the residence to help you to get your bags and groceries to your floor.

Guests have free and unlimited access to high speed wireless Internet.

TV with Netflix.

We provide bottle water, free house keeping twice the week, 1 beach towel per guest.

Beach chairs are available to borrow.

Getting around

Since we are well located. Walking will get you to most interests in town. If you want to explore further down the coast. We can suggest several options like hiring a taxi, bus, or colectivo. Sometimes renting a car for a day or two is helpful too.

Interaction with guest

I'm living in Playa year round and just a phone call away should you need assistance. I generally pop by and check that things are in order every day. I don't knock on doors just to introduce myself, respecting your privacy and desire to be at peace inside your vacation home. But if you would like to meet me, I'm happy to stop by and meet new guests! Our maid Virginia or Mariela are very trustworthy and will come by to clean your suite a few times in the week. You can request that she come at an earlier or later time of day up until 2pm.

House rules

Smoking is permitted only on exterior private spaces. Not indoors or in common area near pool or staircase.

Noise levels should be kept down after 10pm. No entertaining/parties on the premises.
$40 fee per stay for a pet due on arrival.
Pool hours are between 10 am and 10 pm. Parents must be present at all times with children in/around pool area. Children and yes, adults, must keep voices down when swimming in pool. No yelling and screaming. Respecting other guests.

Response from the owner Thank you for sharing your experience here. We're happy you found our design and decor appealing. You've offered a wonderful description of our place, thank you. .. If I may add just a few details to clarify for our readers; The Plantation house does have an easy to operate, Electric Lift, for your suitcases and groceries, etc. so you won't need to carry those up with you :) St Barts is a two level penthouse. More accurately; it has a Straight set of stairs that have 4 winding steps making a 180degree turn up to the bedroom and private terrace. Spiral staircases tend to disorientate folks, so we didn't incorporate them here. True our location is very central and the street is generally very quiet, the night clubs that are a couple blocks away do not disturb most of our guests, though sometimes on the weekend nights, they may be heard in the distance. The pool is very refreshing during the warmer months. We are looking into adding a solar heater for the cooler months, for our guest's comfort. It was a pleasure meeting you both in person and we look forward to having you back, when you visit Playa again !
