Couldn't have chosen a better cabin. It was beautiful, peaceful and absolutely perfect for a quick getaway. Judy was extreamly forthcoming and her detailed directions were awesome! Thank you!!
Response from the owner Thank you for the great review. Glad you had a good time. Looking forward to seeing you again. Best regards, Judy & Nick
The surrounding woods gave a sense of blissful isolation. The hot-tub, WiFi and well equipped kitchen provided outstanding support amenities. It was a successful and peaceful week of reading, studying and planning. Oh - and the owner was immediately responsive to a call for a little bit of guidance using the multi-hundred channel TV. Great stay!
Response from the owner We hope you thoroughly enjoyed your stay. Looking forward to your next visit! Judy & Nick Dunwoodie
The "Bears Track" cabin was an excellent choice to just get away and rest. Judy and Nick have a beautiful cabin and everything needed to have a great time . Hot tub, propane grill to enjoy meals, rocking chairs to enjoy the beautiful scenery and watch for animals. By the way we seen two deer, squirrels, and birds who came and ate at the bird houses. All types of technology to watch videos, TV, or just listen to music. We also visited the town of BlueRidge and enjoyed the train ride and visited the Big Foot museum in Cherry Hill. Thanks for the memories.....
Response from the owner We instantly relax whenever we stay at the cabin. It's just that kind of atmosphere. So glad you had a great time. Hope to see you again. Judy & Nick
Could not have asked for more. What a great cabin at an incredibly affordable price. Thank you to Judy & Nick for sharing their place. We will definitely be back as soon as we can!
Response from the owner So glad you had a nice time. Looking forward to your next visit. Thank you for the great review. Judy & Nick
“what a wonderful surprise this cabin was.”
We have never been to this area before but will certainly be back. awesome private little cabin. CLEAN CLEAN. comfy, private. every thing you could need to have a great get away. cookware, dishes, glasses, silverware... nice soft large towels and wash clothes. HOT water in the shower, small apartment size washer/dryer. cozy fireplace with firewood supplied. love the private sunken hot tub on front porch. when you are in the cabin you think you are truly in the wilderness but you are only about 15 minutes from blue ridge or ellijay and some very good food. everyone we met was so nice and friendly. the owners had lots of helpful information about where to eat and things to do. even the cleaning staff that was there when we showed up were super friendly. you do have to "turn off the paved road" but the gravel road was in good shape. be super careful when driving up to the cabin as the road is narrow and some curves are difficult to see around but we had no issues. the owner called us at check in time to make sure we made it ok.
Response from the owner Thank you for the great review! So glad you had a good time. Looking forward to your next visit. Best regards, Judy & Nick
“Overall a good value.”
Priced right. Only minor complaints. We would rent again. Could use living room furniture, and also a small outdoor space for a firepit. Other than that were well satisfied.
Response from the owner The only complaints we were aware of is the internet went out when you were there which can happen sometimes in the mountains and you didn't like the drip coffee pot. As new owners we are always striving to improve the premises. Just put in central air/heat and planning on new furniture for the fall. Firepit is also in the works. Thank you for making suggestions for improvement! Glad you had a nice stay and would visit us again Best regards, Judy & Nick
“Cabin at great location with all you need for a pleasant stay”
We rented the "Bear Tracks" log cabin being locals out of the Atlanta suburbs. We received great directions and instructions on how to access the cabin from the owner. If you rent this cabin make sure you follow the instructions to the detail. I've put the car's GPS and Google Maps to the tests on how to get there neither are up to date for this address. Before the trip the owner (Angie) was superb and fast in answering questions about the place, attractions, hiking routes, and even provided ideas about what to visit and do with teenage kids. The house has everything you need, just bring your food and drinks, maybe some extra towels depending on how many you are, although enough are provided. A lot of detail has been put to furnish and equipping the cabin. Wi-fi (if you need it) is fast enough. We used the hot tub, which works great and it's very spacious and comfortable. When we arrived everything was very clean and in perfect condition. The cabin's location is great for hiking and to stay close to Blue Ridge. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Our trip's purpose was primarily doing hiking, kayaking, rafting, etc. Everything was 15-20 min. distance which is ok. I recommend visiting Blue Ridge's chamber of commerce/welcome center for maps, further recommendations, etc. it is really worth it and takes less than 10 minutes! Again, thank you for such a pleasant and smooth easy experience, we will definitely come back as soon as we get a chance!
Response from the owner Wow! So glad you found the information that we provided helpful and that you had a great stay at the cabin. It is a beautiful area and we're so happy you enjoyed it and much as we do. Thanks Again for choosing The Bear Tracks Cabin! Angie and Jim
“A delightful cabin stay!”
Our family of 4 had a lovely stay at the Bear Tracks cabin! We were there in mid-January, and while the weather wasn't our friend, the coziness of this cabin made it all worthwhile! The fully functional kitchen was amazing, as we were able to prepare meals exactly the way we would at home, and with two young children who are picky, that helps a lot when traveling! Everything was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the owners were very pleasant and accommodating, from our first inquiry to our arrival date. We have found a new favorite vacation spot!
Response from the owner Thank You Jennifer!!! We're so Happy that you and your family enjoyed your stay at the cabin. We look forward to your next visit. Angie and Jim
“Relaxing and Peaceful”
Spent Thanksgiving here with husband and step-son along with two dogs. Cabin has everything you would need. It is very peaceful and relaxing here, perfect for getting away from the stress of everyday life. Definitely plan to return in the future. Angie was awesome with communication and gave excellent directions as we were worried about finding the cabin. Would highly recommend staying here.
Response from the owner Thanks Gwen, We're so Happy to hear that you and you family enjoyed Thanksgiving at the cabin. Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review. We hope all our guests find the experience as comfortable and relaxing and you did. We look forward to having you come for another visit in the near future. Thanks, Angie and Jim
This is a wonderful cabin; I have never stayed in one before, but I was blown away when I saw how enchanting and beautiful it was. Not only was it quiet, but comfortable and cozy. I also couldn't believe that this cabin had everything you need. So just a little warning, don't bring anything but food. They have all the comforts of home. I love it!!! My fiance and I was trilled and eventhough it was for only 2 days, it was one of the best romantic experiences I have ever had. My fiance and I definitely decided to come back again, this time I am going to try the spring. Also, remember to follow the directions exactly and you will not miss it. There's lots of turns so you would get lost if you don't follow it. I want to thank you angie and Jim for allowing us use your beautiful cabin. I really enjoyed it. Plus the hot tub gave it an extra zing. Perfect!!!
