Talkeetna Cottages Moonflower Cabin sits on its own forested acre three miles from the historic village of Talkeetna, AK, and is within walking distance of hiking trails, ski trails, and recreational lakes. The cabin features 562 square feet of comfortable living space with a second floor open bedroom with queen bed and full bath; two twin beds and fully functioning kitchen can be found downstairs. The cabin has Internet, Pets are welcome on a pre-approved basis with an extra fee. In the summer, listen to the birds while enjoying the outdoor fireplace. Coffee and tea provided. Private, quiet, and full of artistic touches.

“Funky Perfection”
What a wonderful haven in the woods. Totally comfortable & funky cabin with all the amenities you could want. Not fancy but perfect.

“Relaxing weekend”
Cabin was well stocked and very clean. Very quiet and relaxing weekend . Would definitely recommend this cabin of your looking for a nice relaxing place not far from anchorage.

Response from the owner I am really sorry you didn't like the Moonflower. Please let me address some of your concerns. The toilet is sweating, not leaking, but I'm sorry it disturbed you. As for the weeds--I don't have a groomed yard at the Moonflower but let nature do its thing. Perhaps I should rethink that. The back door has had problems since one of our earthquakes and I will attend to that at the end of the season. I can't apologize enough, though, for the dog hair--I do switch everything out after a pet visit, but obviously I missed something. If you do some comparison price searching, you will find that the Moonflower is priced lower than most for a stand-alone, private cabin. You would not have found anything similar for less, so perhaps that could make you feel better about your stay. My goal always is to have happy guests--not to create a tourist trap. I love the Moonflower and want everyone to have a good stay there. Again, I am sorry you were unhappy with your stay!
