“Perfect house”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2014

Hi Kevin Just wanted to tell you what a wonderful time we had at your house. After 15 years of renting houses in Ireland I have found my favorite! You have thought of everything to make your guests comfortable. We loved all the windows; the house is just bathed in light. The views from every window are just breath taking. So many houses are a bit damp and chilly but your house with the underfloor heat is always warm and cozy. The notebook of information in the house was so helpful especially all the walks you listed. I think the location is perfect it is so quiet and peaceful but only a few minutes’ drive from Dingle town. We loved meeting your mom and brother! On the flight home Aer Lingus was showing one of your brother’s documentaries! Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with us we can’t wait to return.

“Everyone asked each morning, "Are we on location for a movie that's set in the most gorgeous part of the world?"”

Kevin, Thank you for what will always be remembered as one of our best vacations. Your home was meticulously clean and spacious. You were right about not needing a dryer. Thirty minutes on the line and everything was dry, and you can't beat putting clothes on the line while watching cows graze! The views are stunning! It was quiet and remote, yet so close to town. We loved Slea Head Drive and our hike to the tower (you forgot to mention we might encounter and have to stare down some sheep on our way up). Tell everyone about the little bakery off Green Street and the melt-in-your-mouth raspberry cream doughnuts. If we get to Ireland again, we will definitely be in touch. We loved meeting you, and your brother. He was a darling to put up with our antics. Is everyone in your family that friendly? If you ever head to the next county (to the West), look us up in Massachusetts. We'd love to return the hospitality you showed us.

Great home base to explore the Dingle Peninsula. The owner Kevin was very helpful & informative. The home was lovely & exactly as described in listing. All the comforts of home except we did miss our king-size bed. Highly recommend this home.

Response from the owner Thank you, Robert!

“The vacation on the Dingle Peninsula was absolutely magical!”

Kevin's home was even more beautiful than the pictures showed. The kitchen was so well supplied and Kevin even provided a crib and high chair for my granddaughter. The location was a short 20 minute drive to Dingle which was such a cute town with many delicious restaurants and wonderful music filling the pubs in the evenings. It is hard to pinpoint what was the highlight of the trip because everything was amazing. We will definitely return to Dingle again and we will be making our reservations at Kevin's beautiful home!

Response from the owner Karen, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at our house. I was an absolute pleasure to meet you and your family. Looking forward to your next trip! Kevin

“This was the perfect location for our week on the Dingle Peninsu”

Wow! What a lovely stay at your beautiful home, Kevin. It was so peaceful there. Loved having all the walks / hikes nearby, especially the hike to the tower. Awesome scenery of the three sisters from the top! Your mom was so helpful in telling us about the area and your family. She made sure we had everything we needed. In the 15 days we had in Ireland, traveling north and then along the west coast, spending time at your place on the Dingle Peninsula was the highlight of our trip. It is definitely the place, in Ireland, we would like to visit again, soon! Thank you so much Kevin.

Response from the owner J&S, Thank you for your comments. We are delighted that you had such a good time.

“Great House in a rare place!”

Reviewed 19 Jun 2013

We very much enjoyed our time on the Dingle Peninsula. The home had pretty much everything we would have needed while there. The owner Kevin is great to work with and included some details on some pretty great hikes/walks that are worth a try. If you are looking for something in the middle of a beautiful part of the world that is both modern and peaceful this is your house.

“We wanted to stay.”

My wife and I just returned from a fabulous vacation on the Dingle Peninsula. We consider ourselves fortunate to have found the beautiful home we vacationed in. It is only 3 or 4 years old and is well maintained, warm, clean and completely furnished. All details of the house and rates were detailed honestly by the owner. We had no " internet surprises". We awoke every morning with a beautiful view of a dairy herd out one window, sheep with lovely new lambs out another and mountains all around. Town was very convenient and only 10-15 minutes away if you didn't stop to take pictures. Kevin, the owner, has made up a list of close-by walks that I highly recommend. You don't have to be a hiker to enjoy but I would bring suitable shoes. We will be returning as soon as possible Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Response from the owner Thank you for choosing our house for your stay in Dingle. Thank you, also, for your thoughtful review.

“Perfect House and Location on the Dingle Peninsula”

Reviewed 17 Aug 2012

I cannot imagine having a better base for exploring the Dingle Peninsula than this house. It is absolutely gorgeous and so clean you'd think no one else had ever stepped foot inside. It's situated at the very end of a residential road, and as you can see from the pictures, the views are stunning - a stream and Mt. Brandon in the back, a field of sheep out front, the tips of the 3 Sisters can be seen from the front, and mountains towering as you look right from the front as well. The house is very well-furnished with good quality appliances, furniture, kitchen supplies, etc., and none of the shabby things you sometimes find in vacation rentals. Even when the rain kept us from going out we were delighted to stay put in the's that comfortable, the views are that beautiful. There are many hikes and things to explore close to the house [I recommend staying on this side of Mt. Brandon rather than the other side because it's closer to more great drives & hikes and it will save you the time of repeatedly driving over the Conor Pass]. We have small children, and a safety gate, high chair, and travel cot (pack & play) were all provided. You'll find extras everywhere - lots of books, Dvd's, candles, and more. Kevin was extremely kind and helpful, and he provided information and suggestions as we requested them. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful haven where you'll feel like a local and be enveloped in breathtaking scenery, then this is the house for you!!

“Beautiful House in a Beautiful area”

Reviewed 10 Jun 2012

This house is beautiful, bright and airy, and has been equipped with everything you need for a lovely stay. Kevin and family are very helpful and eager to ensure that all needs are met. They have alot of literature available as well as leave phone numbers if you need them, and provide good suggestions for excellent area hikes. They also have WiFi available which was important to my husband and son. There is much to see and do in this area. It is also a good location for exploring further out such as Blarney Castle, Kinsale, Ring of Kerry, etc. The house is so nice, cozy, and quiet to come home to each night. Don't miss out on the opportunity to stay here - you will not be disappointed!!

“house was great and owner great to deal with”

Reviewed 6 Jun 2012

we stayed for a week and enjoyed the home and surronding area. home is about 10 mins from town and sits back off the main road a few hundred yards but once we found it we loved the quiet setting and views from the windows and sky lights. we found lots to do to keep us busy in the area and home was set up with all you need. kevin was great to deal with and quality built home with great finishes and outfitted well for guests.
