“Better than Advertised”

Reviewed 5 Mar 2017

The Villas at Ko Olina were even better than advertised. The owner, Murial Lin, was always there to answer questions and her property was an outstanding place to get away to for any period of time. The condo and property are meticulously kept and the folks that work at the property were always helpful and pleasant. I will have no problem referring this property to others.

“great vacation”

This is one of the best vacation we had......Love to go back again in the near future. The poor area is pretty amazing and the staff are super nice. It is also easy to drive to the airport or Honolulu. Overall, we love it.

“Five-Star Condo and Facility!”

Reviewed 26 Mar 2015

My family & I stayed at Ko Olina Villa's March 10-23. Our flight arrived 6 hours late, at 3:15 am. As Enterprise Rent-a-Car was closed, we had to take a (US$90) taxi ride to the condo; by this time, we were exhausted & fed up with travelling. We were welcomed by the front desk staff, given keys & directions to our condo. When we opened the door to #304, our frustrations left as we took in the beauty of the condo which was everything the photos showed & more! From the designer kitchen to the spacious master suite & second bedroom & bath, #304 is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings, comfortable beds & high-end linens. We traveled with our 17 year old daughter & friend who loved having their own space with two very comfortable beds, lots of drawer space, a TV & their own bathroom with a great shower. We appreciated the sliding doors opening on to the large lanai, overlooking he 'quiet' pool. Being on the third floor was particularly nice, as we had a great view of the grounds. The kitchen is designer, with Wolf stove & oven & a spacious Sub-Zero fridge/freezer. There is a two-drawer dishwasher & although we appreciated it, found it lacking space & it didn't clean the dishes too well even after the filter was rinsed out & vinegar run through a load. We then rinsed the dishes before putting them in & this helped. The communal BBQs (4) were in need of repair/maintenance with some not working. We have rented other vrbo's & found the kitchens usually had more supplies of spices, oils and basic condiments. There were some of these but we would have liked to have seen more, as we did 99% of our own cooking at the condo (one of the reasons we like to do vrbo) & had to buy things like mustard, mayo, ketchup & bbq sauce that were left behind nearly full. None the less, the condo itself was fantastic, everyone of the staff was friendly & always acknowledged us with a smile & Aloha! in passing. The grounds of the Villas are incredible, with huge Koi in the ponds. We really liked the 'quiet' pool & the Hawaiian music that played poolside. Our daughter & friend found the Fitness Facility to be very nice, with no waits for machines. The proximity to the beach & lagoon is great! There is a nice walkway that links the four lagoons & hotels nearby. We are avid snorkelers & really enjoyed the Honu lagoon in front of the Villas where we saw a great variety of fish & even turtles. Murial was wonderful to deal with from start to finish! Mahalo!

“Great stay!”

Reviewed 14 Sep 2014

We stayed in the three bedroom villa. We had four adults and a baby. It was perfect. There was a pack-n-play and a high chair. The staff was awesome and the amenities were excellent. We took advantage of the tour reservation service at the front desk for those who hadn't been to Hawaii before, but most of the time we were at the pool or at the beach. The sunsets from the lagoon or the bar were incredible. The owner was wonderful to work with and the communication before and during our stay was very good with questions answered quickly. You can't beat the location. Once you load up on groceries there is no reason to leave. If you open the glass doors to the lanai it makes the living/dining area so much bigger and the views were great. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and are recommending the place to friends considering a vacation in Oahu. Ko Olina is much better then Waikiki.

“Beautiful and well maintained property. Will come back!”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2014

We were looking for a place to stay for our big family reunion in August. Other members of our family stayed at the Disney Aulani. We were originally trying to book rooms at the Aulani so we could be close to our family. But Murial and Andrew's condo ended up being the perfect place for us! There is a path that connects the Koolina Villas to the Aulani and it's just a short walk over. We checked out the Aulani and although it's quite impressive, the pool areas are very loud and crowded. The Koolina villas are very peaceful, has several pools and is close to the beach (lagoon). The condo was beautifully furnished, spotless and had a beautiful lanai that opened out to the pool and the beach beyond. The kitchen was modern and well stocked with pans, utensils, rice cooker and coffee maker. There is a very high quality washer and dryer and a lot of towels (beach and regular). My son loved to eat breakfast out on the lanai. I think that was also my favorite part of the condo. There were a ton of pool and beach toys as well. The check in process was very smooth. Murial was very responsive and answered all my questions. Wonderful property and we would absolutely recommend. We will definitely be back!

“Gives DVC a run for their money”

Reviewed 3 Aug 2014

We were so impressed with the quality of service and attention to detail that Murial provided from the start and all the way thru our vacation at her beautiful home. We've been accustomed staying at DVC resorts for the last 6 years and our plan was to book a week at Aulani for our holidays, however, Aulani was completely booked up for the summer, so we had to look for an alternative solution. We found Murial's condo on VRBO and based on the reviews, we chose to book with Murial. All the reviews about Murial and her home as been exactly as described. Murial is extremely professional in providing us with instructions for payment, check in and was gracious enough to provide us with any additional information that we needed. Murials home was also stocked with beach toys, boogie boards, floatation toys, so there was very little that we need to purchase for days at the beach. The lagoon was absolutely beautiful, we could have spent hours just soaking in the sun. You're also right next door to Disney's Aulani and a 30 minute drive to downtown Wakiki. We've got Murial's condo in our favourites list because we intend to come back and stay at her beautiful home again and again. Thanks Murial for everything, you have a lovely home.

“Rented this property 2 years in a row and couldn't be happier!!!”

Reviewed 25 Apr 2014

We have rented this property for 2 years in a row and couldn't be happier. Murial is a great owner that returns our emails or calls very quickly and is super easy to work with. The property is clean and has plenty of kitchenware, which is nice because we like to cook. The property staff upon check in and out are helpful too. I'd recommend this property to anyone visiting Oahu and I'd recommend staying at Ko Olina even if you want to visit Waikiki. It's quiet and the lagoons are never packed so you can enjoy the shopping in Waikiki and R&R; in Ko Olina at the same time.

“The perfect home away from home”

Reviewed 15 Apr 2014

My husband and our 8 year old daughter decided to try a different island in Hawaii to get away from the cold of Canada and we were absolutely delighted with the 2 bedroom villa we rented from Murial. It was exactly as the pictures showed and the write-ups described. There is not a better place to stay on Oahu. The beach in front of the Villas is not very busy but great for swimming. We even met some locals that always bring their guests to this lagoon. We enjoyed the fantastic Villa, great beach, turtles and the protected cove. Would recommend Murial's villa to all our friends and family - in fact we already have!

“Spectacular, Quiet, Spacious Condo”

Reviewed 11 Apr 2014

My family of four and my parents stayed at the condo in mid-March. It exceeded all of our expectations. It was perfect for six of us as we all had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen, living space, and lanai were also spacious and felt that we could spread out and not be cramped. The condo was well equipped and had plenty of pool and beach toys for my two daughters to play with. The condo grounds itself were lovely, peaceful, quiet, and very well maintained. Initially, I had concerns that there wasn't a restaurant or food on the premise, but it was not a problem at all. Ko Olina is very easy to navigate and walking to the other resorts was simple, but we really enjoyed having our own food to cook in the condo or take downstairs to grill. Murial was extremely helpful and prompt with all her emails and responses. My family would go back in a heartbeat. Wonderful vacation!

“Great 3 weeks”

Another great stay in Ko Olina beach villas. Murial has a prefect condo overlooking pool area and great ocean view. The staff & residents were very helpful giving help for our adventures. We really enjoyed staying here the past 2 years. Thanks again.
