Cottage on the Beach, Romantic, Oahu North Shore Mokuleia (Licensed!)
Waialua cottage
1 bedroom / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4
“Hawai'i Doesn't Get any Better” We've been staying at Mokuleia Beach Colony for over 30 years and this is one of the best units there. It's quaint, very clean and wonderfully decorated. The lanai (front porch for you main landers) is maybe the best location in all of Hawai'i to watch a sun set. We can walk on the beach to the east for almost a mile before we get to the first houses in town (Waialua) and all there is are horse pastures and forest on our right and ocean on our left and some amazing snorkeling and swimming holes. I've been finding my favorite Green Sea Turtle, most mornings for several years, about 100 yards off shore, sleeping under a large coral head. The swimming pool is great and there is a super tennis court. This is old "Country" Hawai'i. It doesn't get any better.

“A perfect place to see and hear the ocean 24 hours of the day..” We rented this wonderful condo for a week and shared it with three other women. I chose the murphy bed next to the sliding glass doors or screens (3) which open completely. I kept the screens opened and locked all eight nights I slept there. The waves crashed and the sea breeze flowed thru the whole place, it was so wonderful. The view is fabulous and the building sits right on the beach, hard to beat. Whenever we arrived home, the view amazed us every time. With a closet full of beach toys and tools, anything else you needed was by the beach, BBQ, pool, spa, even huge turtles who swam and ate right in front of you ! We'll be back...

“Great way to "see" the real Hawaii” We enjoyed the sunsets, watching the surfers, close to the many activities available. We enjoyed the walks, swimming pool and watching for the whales. This is a great way to relax and enjoy the ocean. It was great eating at the small restr. and talking to the local people. Enjoyed their local markets. Just a great way to spend a vacation. Must have a car to get around.

“Relaxing stay in Punalu'u” Our family stayed in condo #401, it was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The condo has everything you need and more. We had an incredible vacation. The condo has a gorgeous view of the ocean and a big, comfy balcony to sit on and enjoy the view! It's just a short walk across the lawn to the water. The condo itself is lovely and clean with a complete kitchen, not lacking anything a cook would need. We had a lot of meals in the condo and that helps too if you're on a special diet or just want to save on meals. The beds are very comfortable too! It's the perfect place for a family with kids to stay, everything you need is there, even a washer and dryer! Punalu'u is serene and beautiful. We plan on returning soon!

“Beautiful Villa!” This is a very late entry and I normally don't write reviews, but this villa in Ko'Olina is simply amazing! My family, including my husband and 2-year-old daughter, along with another couple stayed at David's condo last year and it was more than we could ask for. The place is well kept, clean, and has state of the art utilities. Melissa and David made the booking process easy, and ensured we had everything we needed during our stay. Even when the dryer broke at the beginning of our trip, Melissa and David were right on it and sent someone out immediately to fix it (the washer/dryer came in very handy during our vacation). Our favorite part about the villa was definitely the lanai. We woke up every morning and enjoyed the views for hours before even leaving the unit, and we spent every night watching the sunset from the lanai. Pure relaxation! The kitchen was fully stocked so we were able to cook a lot of our meals, which saved us some money. There was even a BBQ by the pool area we used. Very convenient. Lagoon 2, which was where the villa was located, was definitely the best out the 4. Quiet, peaceful, and the water was amazing! The waves were mild and calm. My daughter loved it and even learned how to swim there! I can't say enough about our stay here. We have been to Oahu several times, but staying in Ko'Olina at this condo was definitely the best trip we've had to Oahu! We hope to come back soon.

“Very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful amongst the local people not in the rat race of touristy Waikiki.” We did not rent a car and used the local bus system to travel everywhere which was great but time consuming. The accommodation is at least an hour from Honolulu and Waikiki so travelling on a bus late at night is not ideal, however the bus does stop outside the condo complex. The condo facilities are comfortable with access to 2 pools, it is on the 3rd floor with stair access only which is hard with heavy luggage, however being higher up means there are sea views and the benefit of fresh breezes. We found the owner friendly and approachable.

Ko Olina Beach Villas Beachfront (Beach Tower 709)
Kapolei apartment
2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6
“Beautiful Beach front condo!” We had the most wonderful 10 day stay at the Ko Olina Beach villas penthouse. The unit had the most incredible view, there was not a single thing between us and the beach! The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed in the condo. It was fully stocked with snorkel gear and beach towels, toys and chairs. Even an umbrella! Everything at this condo is high end. The master bedroom shares the same unobstructed ocean view as the living room; it was incredible to just open my eyes in the morning and watch the waves splashing off the lagoon rocks without even getting out of bed. We loved being able to relax in the beach bar loungers, looking out at the ocean with our toes in the small sandy area while the kids played nearby in the pool. It was the best of both worlds. This resort is extremely quiet and relaxing, and the service is amazing. Meg was very accommodating and so easy to work with. We will definitely stay again.

“Turtle Bay Condo” We enjoyed our stay at your Turtle Bay condo. It's in a beautiful area with beautiful beaches, 3 pools to choose from, tennis, golf and horseback riding. The condo was spacious, clean and quiet. It had a nice lanai and a well-equiped kitchen. We would stay there again if we planned to travel to Oahu.

“Five-Star Condo and Facility!” My family & I stayed at Ko Olina Villa's March 10-23. Our flight arrived 6 hours late, at 3:15 am. As Enterprise Rent-a-Car was closed, we had to take a (US$90) taxi ride to the condo; by this time, we were exhausted & fed up with travelling. We were welcomed by the front desk staff, given keys & directions to our condo. When we opened the door to #304, our frustrations left as we took in the beauty of the condo which was everything the photos showed & more! From the designer kitchen to the spacious master suite & second bedroom & bath, #304 is tastefully decorated with quality furnishings, comfortable beds & high-end linens. We traveled with our 17 year old daughter & friend who loved having their own space with two very comfortable beds, lots of drawer space, a TV & their own bathroom with a great shower. We appreciated the sliding doors opening on to the large lanai, overlooking he 'quiet' pool. Being on the third floor was particularly nice, as we had a great view of the grounds. The kitchen is designer, with Wolf stove & oven & a spacious Sub-Zero fridge/freezer. There is a two-drawer dishwasher & although we appreciated it, found it lacking space & it didn't clean the dishes too well even after the filter was rinsed out & vinegar run through a load. We then rinsed the dishes before putting them in & this helped. The communal BBQs (4) were in need of repair/maintenance with some not working. We have rented other vrbo's & found the kitchens usually had more supplies of spices, oils and basic condiments. There were some of these but we would have liked to have seen more, as we did 99% of our own cooking at the condo (one of the reasons we like to do vrbo) & had to buy things like mustard, mayo, ketchup & bbq sauce that were left behind nearly full. None the less, the condo itself was fantastic, everyone of the staff was friendly & always acknowledged us with a smile & Aloha! in passing. The grounds of the Villas are incredible, with huge Koi in the ponds. We really liked the 'quiet' pool & the Hawaiian music that played poolside. Our daughter & friend found the Fitness Facility to be very nice, with no waits for machines. The proximity to the beach & lagoon is great! There is a nice walkway that links the four lagoons & hotels nearby. We are avid snorkelers & really enjoyed the Honu lagoon in front of the Villas where we saw a great variety of fish & even turtles. Murial was wonderful to deal with from start to finish! Mahalo!

“Perfect Location... The "Real" Hawaii” Being from New Hampshire, Hale Malaekahana reminded me of a Lake House dropped on a perfect stretch of Hawaiian beach, close to the North Shore of Oahu. If you're looking for marble floors and granite counters, stay in Waikiki...if you want a true feel for the "Country" of Hawaii, grab a week or more at Hale Malaekahana!! The house and kitchen were very well equipped for anything that you would need, including surf boards, life jackets, beach chairs/mats, snorkel gear and a Webber Grill for grilling up some of the fresh caught fish that you can get from the locals. Forget about the pricey restaurants in Honolulu, experience the local garlic shrimp and Huli chicken along the route, you'll be glad you stayed up here!! Nothing more relaxing than falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking early to an awesome sunrise and coffee on the beach. Stan and Marcia ( although we didn't meet them personally) were very responsive to e-mails and calls during the booking process and our rental went off without a hitch. They even graciously accommodated our request for a late check-out on departure day as we had a late flight and we wanted to soak up every minute of Sun we could out front on the beach!!

“This place offers the best of all worlds” My boyfriend and I spent a week at this spectacular villa and can't wait to come back next year. We were greeted by Louie upon arrival and he escorted us to our underground parking space and walked us up to the villa. The first thing we noticed when we walked into the villa was the breathaking views; you have the ocean to the left and the mountains to the right. It was the perfect combination of water and nature. Louie explained the resort's amenities, including a fully equiped fitness facilty and lagoon. The villa is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the amenities you would expect from a high end home. We visit Hawaii once a year and have stayed at several high end hotels, including the Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki, Fairmont in Wailea, etc., and this villa is up there with the best accommodations the islands have to offer. The best part of the stay was that we always looked forward to coming back to the relaxing atmosphere of the villa. We often drove to Waikiki for shopping or to visit friends during the day, and enjoyed coming back to the Ko Olina area at night as it was peaceful and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. The drive is only about 35 minutes so we truly had the best of both worlds in staying at this resort. We also enjoyed walking from the villa to Roy's for their happy hour specials as well as the shopping center nearby. There is a small market and a good variety of food and restaurants at the shopping center. We feel like we've uncovered a hidden treasure by finding this place. We are excited to return soon!

Ko Olina Beach Villa OT1404 Penthouse Full Ocean
Kapolei apartment

“Perfection in Paradise!” Ryan & Darlene's penthouse Ko Olina Beach Villa on the 14th floor is nothing short of first class luxury. Every amenity has been taken care of from the beautifully furnished two bedroom, two bathroom unit to the high tech kitchen with sub-zero refrigerator to the wireless internet & cable TVs. Even the swim gear is ready for snorkeling in the nearby lagoon! The views from the patio/balcony are breathless as we watched the sunrise and sunset over the blue Pacific Ocean each morning and evening. We took advantage of the gym, which had much nicer equipment than our paid gym membership back home, as well as the lap pool & spa and the kids pool. The close parking and private elevator up to the penthouse was also a nice feature (only one other unit on the floor, very quiet!). Ryan & Darlene are extremely gracious hosts/owners and will treat you like you're their friends. They will make you feel comfortable and make sure everything is taken care of during your stay. Blayne and Eric will also go out of their way to make sure all of your needs are taken care of during your visit. The photos on the site really don't do the condo true justice. It's much, much nicer than words or photos can ever describe. Don't take my word for it though. Go see for yourself and enjoy perfection in paradise at the Ko Olina Beach Villa.
