Description

Podere Patrignone is a beautiful old 15th Century estate ('podere') which has been lovingly and tastefully restored. Patrignone is set on top of it's own hill reached by a long, winding private road that ends at Patrignone. It is set in 150 acres of forest, olives and vines, with uninterrupted 360 degree views over the Tuscan valley. It's the perfect setting for peaceful walks, sunbathing, cycling and exploring. It has a lovely pool with one of the best sunset views in Tuscany.

The Accommodation

There are 5 beautiful self-contained apartments and, of course, Villa Patrignone with its 7 double bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, and large kitchen-diner. All are beautifully furnished in a traditional style, with antique furniture and lovely oil paintings. Putting them together gives a total capacity of 30-33 adults and children. When hired as a whole Podere Patrignone is suitable for family reunions, yoga retreats, photography workshops, anniversaries and small, intimate weddings.

There is a large dining area capable of seating all our guests, and we regularly cater for our guests' special events, celebrations and parties.

Location

Patrignone is right in the middle of Chianti, at the epicentre of Tuscany's cultural treasures, just 10 minutes from the beautiful hill-top town of Castellina in Chianti, with its restaurants, cafés and shops. Siena is 35 mins away, and Florence 40 mins in the other direction, San Gimignano is 30 mins away. You couldn't pick a more central base for your exploration of Tuscany.

Getting around

You'll definitely need to rent a car for your stay in Tuscany, otherwise, you'll be limited to visiting only the busiest most touristy places. And public transport isn't great.

We live here on the agriturismo all year around, so there is always someone around to help you plan your day, give you advice on restaurants and wineries, tell you all our secret parking spots in the centre of Siena!
