Description

Podere Cortilla is a Tuscan winery, an old country house, located on a mountain slope near the old Etruscan town of Volterra in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tuscany. There are five apartments in the country house with a total of about 20 beds. The house: Podere Cortilla is an azienda agrituristica, that is a farm where holiday apartments are also rented. Here you get pure wine and the best olive oil from our own production - directly in the fattoria. Podere Cortilla has been lovingly restored over a period of several years, combining the rustic medieval structure with the comfort that is possible today. The complex comprises five apartments of different sizes with a total of about 20 beds. All apartments are spacious and comfortably furnished in a Tuscan style. They are located in separate parts of the building with their own entrances, so that you live undisturbed. A highlight for all guests is the beautifully located large pool (14m x 7m). A central barbecue area invites you to summer meals outdoors. A new feature is a powerful solar system for your own power supply on the spacious carport. The equipment: L'Angolo is a two-storey apartment of 45 square meters for up to four people. On the ground floor there is a small hall, the living room with dining area, a kitchenette and a spacious bathroom, on the upper floor there is a bedroom with a double bed (orthopedic). The sofa in the living room is suitable as a comfortable sofa bed for two people. The furniture is authentic Tuscan. The kitchen furniture is made of solid chestnut wood with work surfaces made of real granite. The equipment includes a dishwasher, a stove with 4 ceramic hot plates, a refrigerator, a coffee machine and a toaster as well as a hair dryer. There is constant central supply of hot water and heating, as well as satellite TV with numerous German programs and a stereo system with CD player. A washing machine is centrally available.

There are buses as public transport, but they only run very rarely. The nearest train station is 44 km away. You definitely need your own vehicle.

Interaction with guest

During the season, the host family usually lives in the facility and is available for all guests' wishes and needs. In addition and in the absence of the hosts, our administrator couple Giovanni and Manuela are available to the tenants.
