Description

The apartment is situated on the 1st floor of an old historic listed building beside Edinburgh Castle.

Old Town 163 has been newly refurbished, tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard.

While many of the original features have been retained the apartment has been fitted out with all modern conveniences

to make this apartment a unique and comfortable place to stay.

The sitting room is a lovely space to relax in. From the sitting room windows the view is south facing across the old town to the Pentland Hills beyond.

There are two spacious bedrooms,one with king size four poster bed, the other with two single beds both bedrooms have hand carved dark wood furniture.

The fitted kitchen has modern appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with small freezer box

and all equipment provided for your convenience.

The shower room is fitted to a high standard with a powerful shower, toilet and wash hand basin. There is also a separate

toilet with wash hand basin.

Getting around

The best way to see what Edinburgh has to offer is by foot. The apartment is located in the heart of the Old Town within walking distance of all the major attractions. Edinburgh has a excellent transport system with frequent buses to most locations. Try our new trams! Edinburgh is an excellent base to explore the rest of Scotland with many bus tours available leaving from the High St and 163.

Interaction with guest

I usually like to meet guests on arrival to ensure that they know how everything works in the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions that guests may have. On the odd occasion when it is not possible to meet guests there is a key safe system that we use. Given the current situation, to keep guests as safe as possible I have taken the decision to leave the keys in the key safe on arrival. This will minimise contact for guests. I will still be available if help or information is needed. The part I enjoy most about running a holiday apartment is meeting the guests, hopefully this will be possible again soon.

Very nice apartment located right next to the castle. A lot to see just around the corner. Mary was very helpful with everything and answers your messages really quickly. Could definitely book again!

If Mary (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
