Description
The apartment “NONNA” consists of a living room, where is placed a three-seater sofa that is a sofa bed, a dining room with a table for eight people (120x140), a cooking area perfectly equipped. In the sleeping area there are two bedrooms, with the possibility of having two double beds or one double bed and two single beds, and one spacious bathroom with shower. The guests can freely make use of the garden (5000 square metres). In the garden there are a swimming-pool, a playground for children, a grove provided with hammocks and several spaces to eat, rest and play. Wood-oven and barbecue can be used to cook.
“Il Poggetto” is a charming 19th century country house which will strike you enormously. It is an ideal place for a totally relaxing holiday or as a base from which to visit all the fascinating attractions of the area. Il Poggetto is strategically placed regarding all the main communication routes; the traveller can move around easily, using both their own transport and public transport services. There is a regular bus service connecting Il Poggetto to Pisa railway station in about 45 minutes. Other places can be reached by bicycles and for those who are fond of walking or trekking there are many sites to be visited on foot. Crespina is situated in a peaceful area overlooking rolling hills. It's not far from the most famous Tuscan sea resorts and ports where ferries depart for the peninsula's nearby islands, and the major tourist centres of Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Siena. It is an oasis of calm surrounded by the lush green Tuscan countryside, woodlands and areas of breath-taking natural beauty.

“Idyllic, relaxing, peaceful Tuscany house; with a warm Italian welcome.”
I stayed at this property with my husband, two children Jack aged 4 and Chloe aged 15 months, mother and step father. Tripale is a peaceful little village near Crespina and the house is tucked away off the main road which was fantastic for the kids, the property is better than the pictures shown. Selena and Sergio were extremely welcoming and helpful, especially when we arrived at 2245hrs. On arrival there was a bottle of wine, bread, pasta and sauce, coffee, milk, sugar and juice; just what you need after a days travelling with tired kids. The apartment which is on the lower floor of the house was very clean and well presented with modern amenities. A BBQ is avaliable for guests to use and an outside covered dining area to eat alfresco.There are three dogs at the property that are very well trained and adore children, Jack was afraid of dogs and by the end of the week he was patting all of them.The swimming pool was a welcome break to cool off from the heat of the day. A car is essential for this location as the nearest supermarket is approximately 8 km away and you are ideally located to travel to see the sights of Pisa, Firenzie and the wine vineyards of the local area. The local restaurant 'Le Muse' is great value for money with a warm welcome and playing area for children of all ages; a small discount is offered to guests who stay at the property: booking is recommended. In the next village a restaurant called Seven is worth avoiding, poor service and do not cater for children. The whole family enjoyed this week long stay and largely because of the location, Selena and Sergio are the most excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them, we would gladly go back for another stay. Jack missed Selena when he got back to England and all he talked about was his trip to all. If the kids are happy then it must be worth a visit. To Selena and Sergio a big thank you from us all for a wonderful stay leading to a perfect holiday, keep up the hard work and we will see you again. Kim, Cris, Jack and Chloe.
