“Perfect stay: modern, beautiful home”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2015

The cottage is modern and spacious but is very homely. The surrounding scenery is beautiful and the village of Chirnside is only a short walk away. The busy town of Berwick is only a short 10-15 minute drive. The owners were very pleasant, even leaving a delicious-smelling home-baked loaf for us! Great value for money and, overall, this was the perfect place for a holiday and I will be visiting again!

“Modern, comfortable and well-situated”

Reviewed 12 Apr 2015

This is the first holiday home we've stayed in where the rooms were bigger and furnishings better in real life than in the website photos. Simon and Emily clearly paid attention to detail in developing something that they'd wish to stay at themselves (e.g. good wi-fi, DAB radio) and were also attentive whilst never being intrusive. We were already familiar with the area and would recommend the coastal and in-land walking, as well as the Allanton Inn for eating out.

Lovely relaxing stay near to lots of places of interest. Only down point -TV interference made watching telly impossible, ok for DVD though.

Response from the manager Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are delighted you enjoyed our newest cottage and the tranquil location. Sorry to hear you had a problem with the flat screen TV. As it was new last year I believe a power cut the previous day must have interfered with the channels. We will investigate and include a guide for resetting the channels for future guests. If any of our guests have problems while staying we always welcome a phone call and are happy to assist. We look forward to welcoming you back. Simon and Emily
