Description
The Old Millhouse built in 1703 combines history and 21st century comfort, five luxurious Bedrooms with crisp white bedlinen, ensuite bathrooms to all our bedrooms offering fluffy white towels and bathrobes with complimentary natural Scottish toiletries .
Three of our Super King size beds can be split to singles. Sit and relax in our beautful Orangery which allows views to the acres of gardens with doors opening to the patio to enjoy a BBQ in the summer (ask for details for our BBQ Pack) or turn on the fire to keep cosy during our stunning Autumns or enjoy a snug time looking out to a frosty but glorious wintery scenes. while listening to your favourite songs on our Sonas Music System, for an even more relaxing time relax in our beautiful Drawing room upstairs to enjoy a drink with friends or light the real log fire and snuggle up under the pure wool Scottish throws and enjoy a latest movie or a favourite series on Netflix.
New for Spring 2019 - Our fabulous Swim Spa (Hot Tub) will be available for our guests to enjoy. Either try your fitness levels against the current or sit and relax while enjoying the jacuzzi jets.
The Kitchen of course the heart of the house has a top of the range cooker, Induction Hob with 3 ovens and a additional eye level oven with Grill means preparing meals for friends and family is a piece of cake . Create a lovely table setting, table linen and Harris Teed Napkin holders , Bone China Crockery and Crystal glasses can all be hired.

Our Complimentary Welcome Pack all has all the essentials Milk, Teas and Coffee and a few treats.
Our Breakfast Basket for £3.00 per person Oatcakes ,Bread, Butter Scottish Oatmeal and not forgetting our own Free Range Hens and our locally made Jams and Marmalades .
Or take some time away from the kitchen and enjoy the many resturants in the area ,we highly recommend the Restoration Yard for lunch only 5 mins drive from the house or book a table a one of there Scottish theme nights.
Visit Edinburgh and enjoy a huge choice of award winning resturants in the city, either take advantage of the excellent public transport or we can help arrange transport to and from the city.
Getting to and from the house is very simple as Edinburgh Airport is only 25 minutes by car from the house, we are happy to help with transport to and from the airport or pick up a car hire as you arrive and you can explore at your will the gorgeous countryside. If you prefer to sit back and relax taking in the sights of Scotland we can arrange transport and tours to anywhere in Scotland. The Scottish Borders Railway ,( Station 5 mins by car from the house) takes you either into the centre of Edinburgh in 15 minutes or down through the Scottish Borders this line also links up with the main rails links for exploring Scotland.
If Golf is your passion The Old Millhouse is perfectly located to any of the 22 Courses in the Lothians and we are happy to assist in arranging transport to the course of your choice. Walking distance from the house is Newbattle Golf Course, Clubs can be hired.
