Description

We have two similar properties to let in the heart of Finlaystone Estate, a privately owned estate overlooking the Clyde estuary with 10 acres of formal gardens and extensive woodlands to explore. The estate also has a small shop, a tea room and ranger service and is home to the Clan MacMillan Centre. Visitors can however easily access the many local places of interest ranging from Glasgow to Loch Lomond all within easy driving distance. The Ingliston Equestrian centre is nearby and there are several world class golf courses within an hour such as Gleneagles, Royal Troon and Loch Lomond. It is a great base for any trip to the West of Scotland for business or pleasure.

The properties have been finished to a high standard and are perfect for 2 adults. An extra bed can be made up if you want to bring a child and pets are welcome. A larger 6 bed barn is also available for larger groups.

Please note that the rental price includes up to 12kwh per day of electricity usage. Any additional use will be charged at 35p per kWh.

Getting around

A car is the best form of transport but there is a station in Langbank about 1 mike away which can take you into Glasgow central in 30 mins.

House rules

We are flexible as to which date bookings start and end.

We have two identical properties so please check availability with me, even if this site says it is booked. We also have a larger family barn which takes up to 6 people now available.

If any extra bed is required then let me know directly. A £35 charge will be made for that which should be paid direct to us.

There is an additional charge of £20 for a pet, payable as above.

“Finlaystone Barn..”

5 night stay in luxury? barn.. Everything needed a bit of TLC....broken sofa bed with leg propped up/ only one comfy seat to sit on/slatted base of bed had plywood over it in an attempt to reinforce it/ most of the window catches needed a screwdriver to tighten the fittings and make easier to open/ small knobs on many of the cupboards came away in your hand as not tightened or repaired properly/ shower cum wet room floor didn't slope properly so water pooled and headed to door . Have stayed in many places NOT classed as luxury that were far better value and in better condition. The accomodation and features in the estate grounds could be so lovely with a little TLC / lick of paint and a few small additions... Grounds were great for quiet walks and you'd never know you were only 20 mins from Glasgow but sadly we wouldn't opt to stay here again.....

How do damage deposits work?

If Arthur (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
