Description
Lovely apartment 50 m2 independent, with fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, double bedroom, twin-bedded room (in passing), Garret with roof window and balcony.
It is the country house of my family, we live in Firenze (100 km) and there we come often for vacation because you are very well. We have an on-site trusted person for cleaning, check in and out. However, we are always available on the mobile phone.
We are inside the medieval village of Roccastrada-480 meters above sea level-which enjoys an enviable location, has a balcony overlooking the Sienese territory and who into the sea and monte Amiata.
The room overlooks the landscape open to the maremma and in the distance you can see the coast of Castiglione della Pescaia and Follonica (on a clear day the Argentario peninsula and the island of Elba); from the kitchen there faces the historic fortress (Aldobrandeschi Castle).
The House is functional and in winter heated by gas stove and wood stove that make small warm and cosy environments; is an apartment decorated in a simple and keeps a character host and local tradition, inspired by the rustic style.
From the bedroom, as from the Garret skylight, you can enjoy clear evenings of the beautiful sunset on the plains of the maremma.
The road that leads to the House is essentially a unique step and ends in a space you can say private, enjoyable in mild seasons (spring/summer) with deck-chairs and a small table.
The environment is relaxing and quiet and the location of the House, to the South of the country, allows you to enjoy the nearby services; on Wednesday morning in the Park near there is the weekly market.
We are in full upper maremma: the area is rich in nature, countryside, forests and rivers, and fishing; There are many attractions for lovers of hiking, trekking, fishing on the River, sea sports. In particular for bicycle lovers there are many paths in green.
Remember some of the highlights: Close, daily excursions, the main cities of art in Tuscany, Siena, Florence and Pisa.
• The sea more attractive in Tuscany is located 40 km from AC: Castiglione della Pescaia, Punta Ala, Follonica, Parco dell'uccellina Alberese Beach, etc.
• You can swim (25 km c.a.) at lago dell'accesa, which is a magical and natural environment with Etruscan artefacts – "it is said that the lake water is beneficial for the skin".
• Very close to the beautiful lago dell'accesa Massa Marittima.
• Don't miss the visit to the Abbey of San Galgano and musical events.
• Monte Amiata is enjoyable in summer and in winter for skiing with its 1,738 metres.
• For the lovers of the Spa you can enjoy closer and ancient baths of Petriolo with establishment or directly on the river Farma (nature reserve) with hot water.
• The area is rich in footpaths and hiking trails.
To quote some interesting events during mild seasons: • Teatro delle Rocce di Gavorrano with theater in a former mine context • Grey Cat Jazz Festival di Follonica • Festambiente in Alberese.
At the library of the town of Roccastrada you can be informed and read up on the events of the grossetano territory.
Roccastrada is accessible by car and by bus (RAMA), the railway station is 9 km away, connected to the town by bus.
