Description

This apartment is on the ground floor and can host up to 6 people (4 adults and 2 babies under 12yo). It has a large living room with kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and a full bathroom with shower and bidet. The apartment has a direct access bro the shared garden where a dedicated table and chairs can be used to eat and live under the italian blue sky. The apartment is located within the Agriturismo Montegonfoli, an ancient Farmhouse placed on top of an hill, in the countryside of San Gimignano. The farmouse is made of some ancient buildings of the Seventeen century, and it's featured by about 1000 olive trees, 2.6ha of vineyard (Vernaccia di San Gimignano, Chianti Colli Senesi, both DOCG), 5ha of "fields of gold" and 9ha of amazing forest featured by a small river for "in house" nice excursions and light trekking activities. The town of San Gimignano is very close, and Siena and Florence can be reached very quickly, as well as all the other attractions of Tuscany. Roma city center (Saint Peter church) is not too far too, less than 3 hours from Montegonfoli.

The farm is in the middle of a 23 hectares garden; guests have access to a reserved area in the garden, to a 13x6 swimming pool with amazing view on San Giminano, to a common barbecue area, to a common laundry and to a large parking. The access to the garden is free and allows to make "in house" nice excursions and light trekking activities. Before making an excursion, please ask us about suggestions and warnings.

In July and August, for rules introduced by tour operators, we can accept reservations for a minimum of 3-5 nights,.

Our neighbours, 50m far from us, have a big horse riding school and each hour start an horse ride into the wonderful surrondings. They have a "social and typical" restaurant too. Other neighbours have cattle husbandry (Chianina type), bees, and other interesting things to see.

Our Farm is very close to a bus stop, but the buses aren't frequent. If you come with a car, we have a free parking. We are in the countryside, but San Gimignano town is very close, and there you can find all that you may need, lots of museums, shops of any kind, dozens of restaurants, supermarket.

Getting around

The best option to explore Tuscany is to get a car. It is possible to arrive here with public transportation but you might consider to add some taxis, especially in the evening and in the night, since the last buses are at 17:00. A taxi run to/from the city center costs about 15,00 Euro, to/from the train station 35,00Euro, to/from Florence (train station or Airport) 100,00Euro. The bus ticket to San Gimignano costs 1,50Euro.

Response from the owner Hello Lynn, I'm very happy that you loved our place, our views and the support of our wonderful caretaker Bruno, but about missing amenities, they were there , both paper and kitchen staples. I talked with Bruno to know if he got any feedback from you during your stay. He was surprised because he didn't get any inputs from you, and he replied me that he'd had loved to show you the right location of any of the tools and amenities you may have needed. We are always on site to assist and support you and all of our guests. About bugs, I confirm that this is a farm, inside nature, and some bugs are part of it in summer :-) Hope to meet you again to show our real potential :-) Ciao, Paolo
