Description

This adorable, large studio cottage, will give you the whole experience of a Flagstaff vacation. The minute you step inside our cozy cottage you'll feel at home. Newly remodeled kitchen has all the necessities for cooking and preparing a meal. Including: refrigerator, oven/stove, high-end microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, teapot and utensils. Full bath/shower combo, towels, blow dryer and essentials. For the bedroom: clean/sanitized linens for each guest, and plenty of pillows, and blankets. Separate closet and dressers.

Comfortably sleeps 2 adults and 1 child/teen. We can accommodate a family with 2 children (under 8 years) but you must inquire and indicate that first before booking. We do not allow 3 "adult" guests at any time in the cottage (please don't ask). Two children will be considered. We have a comfortable rollaway bed with springs (not a board type). There is an additional $10 fee for the use of the rollaway, with clean linens, blankets, pillow etc. For children (under 8 years) using the rollaway bed, there is NO extra $20 nightly guest fee - only the fee for the bed/linens. We will remove the extra guest fee from your booking total.

Please count your child(ren) in your initial inquiry and guest count. If they're 8 years old and under, again, we will make the adjustment in the number and in your price, and then add the appropriate bed fee.

The cottage is more of a hideaway (*please see photos). A comfy place of rest, retreat or to gear up for your stay in Flagstaff - and all the places you plan to visit. Blueberry Hill itself has it's own charm, and over an acre that you, your partner, your children, your pets, are welcome to explore. When you step outside the door, short steps towards the East and/or a look to the West, you have endless views and beauty to discover. There are hiking trails to the South and more towards the North & Northeast, which is just a short walk down our back road for those who do participate in this sport. Simply walking around the quiet rural neighborhood is a real treat.

All guests should be respectful of the property which includes but is not limited to: No drugs, no parties, absolutely no smoking inside the cottage (must use receptacle provided outside). No loud music or televisions at high volume for the comfort of all. Must be respectful of parking (no blocking driveway) to insure passage of all vehicles. We ask that you use alcoholic beverages responsibly and all trash must be put in the receptacles indicated.

Will consider a small dog under 30 lbs (please inquire) with an additional non-refundable cleaning fee of $50.00 per night. If we consider a pet over 30 lbs (seniors/special needs etc.) there will be an additional non-refundable cleaning fee per night, of up to $75.00 - depending on size and breed. You must state your dogs breed, size, age & weight and temperament, with your initial inquiry or your request will be declined due to lack of information. Pets are NOT allowed on beds or furniture and cannot be left unattended unless they're crated - no exceptions! If you plan to leave your pet crated, you must notify us by text so that we can be prepared, in the event of an emergency, while you're absent. ***NEW*** We are now offering a large covered kennel for your pets along with a large igloo style dog house (you bring their bedding) and artificial grass for their comfort. The fees to use our Kennel: $10 per day, per pet. Additional house rules are posted in the cottage.

**IMPORTANT** A "10.951%" accommodation tax (City & State) will be added into your total.

Madeline's Cottage is nestled under the main house (private residence). It is completely separate. It has a private entrance. Hosts have no access in, nor will they invade your privacy at anytime unless you ask - or if we had an emergency, and/or the guest should require our presence. We put your privacy first to allow you the full experience. We're just a text or phone call away if you need our assistance. Otherwise, if the timing is right we will greet you upon arrival, but if not, the cottage will be open and you're welcome to go inside and make yourselves comfortable.

“Friendly folks, unique setting.”

Great option to the standard hotel, although a bit over priced. Place was cozy with nice personal touches. 200 deposit which is taking a while to return. The owners are very nice.

Response from the owner Thank you for your review. But, I must say; over priced? Where can you find a standard hotel that offers their guests not only immaculate accommodations but: a fully equipped kitchen & dining area, bottled water, coffee, hot chocolate, juices, a variety of herbal teas, and home-baked cookies right in the privacy of their cozy room? And to top that off; no crowds, ample parking, beautiful, quiet rural surroundings, and amazing views all included in a competitively low nightly rate? Regarding the deposit? Upon booking, guests agree that the deposit will be held for 7 days by TripAdvisor. A necessity to give hosts time, if the need arises, to file a claim after a guest departure. In your case, because, of the emergency, you had to cut your trip short. You were refunded promptly and privately - and at, “our” discretion. It wasn’t mandatory for us to do so - just a simple kindness. However, we have no control over the deposit. This is held on our behalf by TripAdvisor LLC until the 7 days have concluded. Be well!
