Situated in a quiet corner of Old Tolbooth Wynd, to the back of the Royal Mile, this delightful 2 bedroom second floor apartment sleeps up to 4 guests plus a baby. If you are travelling by car, you will be able to use the secure private underground car park, whereas if you are travelling by train, the rear entrance to Waverly station is 5 minutes walk away.
If you walk up Old Tolbooth Wynd and through the ancient archway of the Tolbooth, you will reach the Royal mile with its interesting array of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops, and a fascinating range of historic buildings and medieval closes. The apartment is within easy walking distance of many of Edinburghs popular tourist attractions, including Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh Castle, Dynamic Earth, the Scottish Parliament building, St Giles Cathedral, Mary King's Close and the Camera Obscura.
Access to the apartment is from a secluded courtyard. 2 flights of stairs bring you to the front door of the property which leads into an attractive light hallway with wooden floors.The living room is on your left and looks out over the paved courtyard which has been planted with an attractive selection of shrubs and trees. The room is light and airy with a high loft style ceiling and has been simply with a 2 seater sofa and 2 chairs arranged around the ornamental fireplace. There is a TV with DVD player, free Wifi and an ipod docking station. At the other end of the room there is a small dining table with seating for 4 guests.
Next to living room is the galley kitchen with an internal window into the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, a fridge freezer, a microwave, toaster, kettle and plenty of glass, china, cutlery and cookware. There is also a washer dryer provided for your convenience.
The 2 bedrooms are situated to the back of the property and the Master bedroom is furnished with a king sized bed and 2 bedside cabinets and has lots of built in wardrobe space. The second bedroom has twin beds and again a built in wardrobe providing plenty of storage space. Both rooms offer lovely views up to Calton hill.
The bathroom which completes the accommodation has a bath and shower over, toilet wash hand basin and large mirror.
The garage, which is directly below the apartment can be accessed down 3 flights of stairs.
