Description from owner
Description
Ty Beic is two one bedroom holiday cottages perched on a hill above the tiny hamlet of Sarnau near Bala on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. These two restored stone barns are a magical place to stay all year round providing a perfect base for exploring North Wales.
The Stable is at the west end of the main house (Ty Hen) and was, as its name suggests, once a stable. We have converted this into a stunning, dog friendly, one bedroom holiday cottage furnished to a high standard with a certain offbeat charm.
The character of the original farm building has been retained with exposed beams and stone walls but with the technology to keep you snug in the winter and cool in the summer. The underfloor heating, thick stone walls and double glazed oak windows keep the cottage warm through the coldest winter – making them enticing places to which to return after a day in the wild outdoors.
The open plan living room has a comfortable sofa, dining table and chairs, TV with Freeview and Netflix, DVD/Blueray player, a selection of books, DVDs and games and music system with DAB radio, CD player and bluetooth. The underfloor heating makes it warm and cosy.
The kitchen has a hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge and a full range of cooking utensils.
The bedroom has a superking bed or two singles, depending on your requirements. The en suite bathroom has underfloor heating and a powerful shower with plentiful hot water.
Ty Beic has spacious grounds with magnificent views of the Berwyn mountains and farmland. When the weather is fine, you can enjoy a BBQ on your patio or in your field or make the most of the long summer evenings around the fire pit while taking in the view and planning your next adventure. The only disturbance is the sound of sheep and birds.
There is private parking, secure bicycle storage, bike wash facilities and a laundry which also has a shared freezer. We provide bed linen and towels.
Dogs are welcome but not on the furniture or upstairs.
Please see our listing for 'Ty Beic Holiday Cottages - The Barn' for information about our other cottage.

“cosy little cottage”
It was a lovely long weekend stay. Weather was pretty rainy but we made the best out of it! Cottage nicely equipped, underfloor heating in the bathroom after windy walks - priceless! If you live in the city, be ready for the early wake up - those birds CAN SING! Perfect place for a couple! If you are looking for the recommendation for food in the area - Corwen - Portuguese little restaurant with local wine - unreal! "Old wive's tales". All whole foods, hearty and delicious!
