It is our great pleasure to welcome you to Castlelough Holiday Cottages, near Garrykennedy, Co. Tipperary. Nestled along the “Lough Derg Way” on the eastern shores of Lough Derg, we offer you a choice of three 4* Failte Ireland approved self catering cottages Cornode, Fraoch and Lackaroe. Our cottages are centrally located, 1.5 miles from Garrykennedy and ideal for a short break or extended holiday in Ireland.
Perfect for holidays at any time of year. Ideal for couples and families. A haven for fishermen and nature lovers.
Lough Derg is the largest and most beautiful of the Shannon lakes. It is renowned for its coarse fishing. In this tranquil location you can experience the peace and quiet of the real Ireland.
Co. Tipperary is a tourists’ paradise, an area of great charm and natural beauty, with hills, rivers, rolling countryside, clean air and a landscape steeped in history and heritage. It is a great touring base for exploring the many sights of the Shannon region.

Cornode is located off The Lough Derg Way on the eastern shores of Lough Derg. This is an area of great charm and natural beauty and a haven of peace and tranquility.
Cornode is a rural retreat set in a large lawned garden. Surrounded by mature woodland the grounds extend to the scenic lakeshore with private harbour. The stone fronted cottage is beautifully appointed, full of rustic charm with timber ceilings and pine furniture.
Idyllic romantic getaway, perfect for holidays at any time of year, a haven for fishermen and nature lovers.
Cornode sleeps 6 people and is fitted and equipped to 4* standards.
Spacious living/dining room, comfortably furnished with wood burning stove.
Kitchen well equipped with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher.German and French tv channels available.
Oil fired central heating.
Utility area with washing machine and dryer.
Ground floor double bedroom. Bed linen and towels provided.
Bathroom with bath tub.
Two twin bedrooms and shower room on first floor.
Centrally located, ideal for a short break or extended holiday in Ireland. Perfect for families and couples. Lough Derg is renowned for its coarse fishing and aquatic activities. Wonderful forest and hill walks in the area.
Tipperary is a tourists’ paradise and great touring base for The Burren, Cliffs of Moher, Rock of Cashel, Holycross Abbey, Birr Castle Gardens.
Many good restaurants and pubs in the local villages and towns.
Garrykennedy 1 mile, restaurant and 2 pubs , traditional music during the season.
Portroe 4 miles, Nenagh 10 miles, Ballina/Killaloe 10 miles.
