Description

Thank you for considering the Bird House as your vacation rental. It is a home situated on six wooded acres with one other house. It is quiet and private with an abundance of wildlife. It is 16.2 miles from Fall Creek Falls State Park, 9.8 miles from Savage Gulf Natural Area, and 20 minutes from Cumberland Caverns.

Outside, there is a fire pit, a 2 burner propane grill, and patio furniture for your convenience. There are hot dog roasting skewers. Free firewood is stocked under the deck.

This is a 2 bedroom & 2 bathroom house. Each bedroom has a queen sized bed (that doesn't squeak). One is a memory foam and the other a Serta.

The living room has a very comfy sectional sofa, a 42" flat screen TV, Apple TV, and high speed WiFi.

The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with pots, pans, dishes, utensils, toaster, side-by-side refrigerator, glass top stove, dish washer, coffee pot, Keurig, coffee, k-cups, cream, raw sugar, stevia, and a few snacks. There are also detergents available for dish washing.

There is also a complimentary laundry room with detergent and fabric softner.

Each bathroom is stocked with towels, wash clothes, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion.

The entire house is tastefully decorated with cozy atmosphere. Come rest in the Bird House, your home away from home.

Pets are welcome, however they must be kept on a leash at all times and there is a non refundable pet fee. This is based on the total weight of the fur babies as not all fur babies are created equal. A Chihuahua and Labrador do not warrant the same pet fee. Inquire for a rate. It could be $25 up to $100. Please note pets are not allowed to be left loose in the house unattended. If you need to leave them behind, they will need to be in a kennel as even the most well behaved fur babies have anxiety when left alone in a strange place. All pets must be on a leash when outside. Insurance requires all laws are followed and Tennessee does have a leash law. We love for you to be able to travel with your fur kids, but these policies are non negotiable.

If you have a curiosity about the area, and love the outdoors, then this is a perfect location with central location to several attractions. Sequatchie County is home to Tree Toppers and is the hang gliding capital.

Savage Gulf offers some great hiking.

Fall Creek Falls State Park offers hiking of various degrees of difficulty, swimming in an Olympic size pool or the Georgia Hole which is a 54 degree cool free sprig swimming hole, bicycle rental and canoe rentals are available and there is a world class golf course available. Not to mention the beautiful water falls and scenery you'll be surrounded with. There is also a swingi bridge and a nature center.

Cumberland Caverns is the second largest cave in TN.

Located on top of the Cumberland Plateau, we are also centrally located to three larger cities: Cookeville is about 45 minutes out, McMinnville is 20 minutes away, and Chattanooga is about 45 minutes.

The city of Dunlap has a couple of unique restaurants: the Dunlap Restaraunt, the Cookie Jar Cafe, and Andy's Pizza & Steakhouse all offer some good eats. The Coke Oven Museum offers some local history.

The occupancy of the house is limited to 4 guests. Due to liability insurance, over occupancy is not allowed. If you go over occupancy, you'll be asked to leave.

There is a $100 pet fee. This covers up to 2 pets and is not a per pet fee. This fee is non refundable. It has nothing to do with the pet behavior and covers the cost of additional cleaning that must be done for future guests allergens.

How do damage deposits work?
