“Relaxing cottage break”
This beautifully restored fisherman’s cottage is the ideal place for a holiday on the Moray Coast. Set on the gorgeous wee harbour and a one minute walk from the Sandend surf beach, it’s the perfect place for walking or surfing - we will definitely be back!

“Relaxation”
This was the most relaxing holiday, the cottage was immaculate and was extremely well equipped. The cottage is about 300 yards from a lovely sandy beach, it played a big part in our dogs stay. We enjoyed not having to travel a lot of miles to see or do anything, everything was within a 30 minute drive away. We are seriously considering another holiday in the at Moray area.

“Perfect pet friendly cottage with harbour view, just a few yards from a beautiful beach”
The older part of Sandend consists of about 50 stone cottages where the fishermen and their families lived. Dram cottage is one the best locations as it overlooks the harbour, an unusuallly has it's own car parking space. You only need to walk around the corner to the huge sandy beach, where dogs are welcome, and you can swim, or join the body borders in the surf. Places to visit are Findlater Castle just a couple of miles along the coast, you can explore this for free if you're brave enough! There are many other lovely villages to explore Fordyce which has a Bistro, Portsoy with it's scenic harbour, and Cullen with several good shops an excellent restauarant, and the beach with great food available .

“Cosy cottage - beautiful location”
We loved our week in Sandend - cottage had everything to make our stay really comfortable. Perfect for cycling, walks on the beach and exploring the Moray Coast. Thank you.

“Fantastic cottage in a great location”
Perfect cottage for a fantastic holiday. Just a couple of things, the kitchen is so full of the owners own food that there is no space for ours! Also, the bedroom could do with a full length mirror, otherwise would definitely return.

“Lovely stay”
We have just spent a lovely week at Dram cottage in one of our favourite places, Sandend. The cottage is ideal for couples, very cosy, extremely well equipped and feels like a true home from home. We wished we could have stayed for longer and we will certainly return.

“A modern gem within traditional fishing settlement...”

“Cosy Dram Cottage, superb”
We stayed in Dram Cottage for a week in March, the weather was beautiful and surprisingly dry for this time of year. The sun helped show off the stunning beaches along the coastline here. The cottage is gorgeous and has been recently renovated which has been completed to a very high spec. It has all amenities you could ask for, and more, with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. It is a perfect location, right on the harbour in the gorgeous village of Sandend and central for exploring the Moray firth coast. The view from the cottage is breathtaking. There is lots of storage in the bedroom with a very comfortable king sized bed. My only constructive feedback is that the kitchen cupboards were full of equipment/condiments so no where for us to put our food in the kitchen cupboards and more information in the guest info pack would have been useful - where the nearest shop/pub/take away is, where to buy wood for the burner and when the bins go out for collection etc. We loved exploring the nearby fishing villages and the beautiful beaches. There is no local shop or pub/restaurant in Sandend so u need to drive about 10min to the next village for these (Cullen or Portsoy) which wasn't a problem for us. We spent most evenings in the cosy cottage in front of the wood burner stove which was an lovely touch to the cottage. On our travels we managed to catch a glimpse of a dolphin just off the coast in Banff which was an extra special treat. If you enjoy the outdoors and walking this is the perfect place to stay. I would highly recommend Dram Cottage in Sandend, we had a great week and will definitely be back.
