Description

Lap in the luxury provided by our 18th floor corner apartment sitting directly upon the beach in Luquillo. No roads to cross to obtain beach access, simply just walk down the steps directly upon our beach. To the left is La Pared one of the hottest surfing spots on the island, to the right is La Selva one of the longest undisturbed/undeveloped coastlines in all of Puerto Rico. This gated twin building complex sits high upon a granite rock towering over the beach whose waves create a wonderful sound as they dissipate upon the sand. On-site is a gym, pool, game room for the kids, gazebo and much more. The complex offers 24 hour security and garaged parking. The unit has been decorated using only the finest furnishings. Of the 3 bedrooms one has a king bed another a queen and the 3rd has a TWIN OVER FULL BUNK bed with a trundle. The bedrooms accommodate 8 people. We also have an identical condo on the 13th floor in the tower, if this one is rented or you need to rent both for your friends and family stay.

Response from the owner Mmmm, well I am sorry you did not have a good time. I do realize that the condo is not for everyone. Also, I know if one looks for issues, they will find them and if one looks for good things, they will find them as well. You find what you look for. But I have to reply to your responses and tell my version since you have given you version and each in turn. First, I am very aware of what is damaged in the apartment and do not charge guests for things that were damaged in the past. The maid keeps me informed of what needs to be fixed as well as the guests. Secondly. I am not sure what location would be good for anyone that arrives late at night in an common wealth territory where everything is in Spanish that they are would be therefore totally unfamiliar with. As far as the sweltering heat, well you did book your stay knowing Puerto Rico is in the Caribbean near the equator and it is hot there. But we are on right on the coast and up very high in the tower and there is a very strong sea breeze you just have to take advantage of it like the locals do many cannot avoid AC. My suggestion, as I mention. in the attachment that I send to each guest, is just to open the balcony sliding door but no fully because the breeze is very strong the pictures on the walls will start to shake and that wind with the living room fan should work well. There are powerful portable ACs in each bedroom as you mentioned along with a ceiling fans when you go to sleep. As far as the tub I will have to check about that but I know that Angie cleans the apartment after each stay. As far as the linen I have Angie replace the linen regularly. But I will check if it needs to be replaced again. For the sofa someone sat on it and put a dent in it. That was fixed the week after you left. I just checked the calendar. There was something wrong with one outlet and the balcony window handle was broke. Again, these were also fixed the week after you left. Yes, there is no swimming beach you need to walk about 8 minutes to the left. That is in the attachment. Also, the pool is out of service as you mention but I very upfront about that and estimated repair date. I mentioned that in each pool picture then in the general description and finally in bold in the attachment I send out to each guest. But not only is our pool out all the pools are out of service. You see there was an earth quake the same day hurricane Maria struck. I am truthfully in my advertising and have cleared it with each rental site. Yes, the parking is in a mult leveled garage. But there is an elevator in the garage maybe you missed it. Regardless I do remember you saying that you were handicapped in a wheelchair as I recall and asking about parking and bathroom handicap rails. I told you to call Rosa the administrator because there is first floor parking for handicapped people and that I have bathroom handicap railings. I also knew that Rosa would have helped you out. Did you call her as I suggested? So, you actually did not have to park in the lower level. Also Just thinking logically the tower is huge you can see that from the web site pictures. Therefore, by definition it needs to accommodate the needs of many people handicapped or non handicapped. As far as finding a better and cheaper place everyone is free to do so.

Response from the owner Thank you for the kind review and I glad you had a good time. As far as the repair work goes the exterior balcony needs to be repainted and the exterior balcony ceiling needs to be fixed a little but this is minor. Also, these are all covered under our master condo insurance policy and we are waiting for those repairs to be complete. Overall though our condo survived with relatively little damage. Luckily, we had all our hurricane window shutters fixed and a new heavy duty balcony shutter installed just before the strike. Other corner condo units either did not have this protection or it was not working and suffered badly as a result. Some are still damaged. Maybe you where referring to the condo complex in general and those units in particular not sure though.
