Description
The Byre is a beautiful detached character cottage offering self catering accommodation ideally positioned between two forests on the edge of the Brecon Beacons. A courtyard to the front and secluded grassed garden at the rear make it ideal for couples, and families
There is a fully equipped kitchen, and dining area with satellite TV, and DVD, and a sitting room with satellite TV and DVD and wood burning stove.
Upstairs, there is a spacious double bedroom with radio and two, single bedrooms plus bathroom with bath and shower over.
Wi-Fi
There is password protected Wi-Fi available at The Byre, but as we have a metered connection, it is only for web browsing and emails. It is not suitable for on-line game playing or streaming.
Our recent Visit Wales awards confirm us to be cycling and walking friendly making The Byre an excellent base to explore the surrounding forests' paths.

“Beautiful location, totally peaceful and cosy cottage”
I had a very relaxing stay with my Autistic son and partner. The cottage was very cosy with the most beautiful outlook across a wooded valley - the silence was wonderful, as was the star gazing, heat lightening and owls gently hooting. Lesley was an excellent host, and so glad she recommended wild swimming at Llyn Y Fan Fach which was very welcomed on such a hot day! I look forward to returning in the winter to enjoy the woodburner and cooler walks. Thank you Lesley.

“Fabulous views”

“Lovely cottage in a lovely location”
As part of my 50th birthday bucket list, one of the things to do this year was to climb pen y fan. This cottage is about 30 mins drive away and we couldn't have picked a better place to stay. When we arrived Lesley met us and showed us around, leaving fresh bread, eggs and numerous other groceries to get us settled in. There are plenty of walks right on your doorstep and our boxer dog instantly fell in love with her new surroundings. After a long day climbing mountains, the wood burner was most welcome. Unfortunately due to a family emergency we had to leave earlier than expected. Lesley was amazingly helpful and we can't thank her enough for everything she did. A fabulous place to stay and truly relax.
