A superb, detached mansion situated in stunning landscaped grounds near Forres, with nine bedrooms accommodating eighteen people.Dalvey House is a superb, detached mansion situated in stunning landscaped grounds near Forres, with nine bedrooms accommodating eighteen people. Five of the bedrooms can be made up as a super king-size double or twin and four of the bedrooms also offer en-suite facilities. There are a further three bedrooms and a cloakroom. The well-equipped kitchen is contemporary and includes a utility room. The reception hall features comfortable seating and a woodburning stove. The sitting room has an adjoining TV room and there's a dining room available. The house also benefits from a drawing room which is available on request. Outside there is ample off road parking and lawned grounds with seating areas. Dalvey House is a beautiful house for a truly memorable stay.
Amenities: Oil central heating. Two electric ovens and electric hob, microwave, fridge, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Sky, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Ample off road parking. Lawned garden with seating areas.
Sorry, no smoking. Sorry no pets. Shops and pub 3 miles. A function room is available on request at a cost with the owner, information on application. Note: Catering service available by prior arrangement and at an additional cost. Note: The owner has an office attached the property which is used between the hours of 10am and 4pm weekdays. There is also a housekeeper on site between these hours. Due to the nature of this old house and its size and thick wall structure and with large groups using multiple devices to connect to our wifi/internet it can struggle to meet this demand.
Please note: This property only accepts booking Friday - Monday or 7 night bookings from Saturday - Saturday.
Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britains best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
Town: The pretty town of Forres is one of Scotland's oldest small towns and boasts an array of historical monuments, museums and castles, as well as impressive parks and gardens. Forres is an ideal starting point for exploring the Malt Whisky Trail being home to two of the Distilleries, and in close proximity to the other five! A great base for exploring the north east of Scotland!
