Description

The cabin is very well equipped, beautifully furnished and is light, airy and full of log cabin charm. It’s situated on a large plot approximately 200 yards from the loch, with raised veranda, BBQ / fire pit area & wood fired hot tub (extra £103 / stay).

The accommodation consists of open plan Living, dining and kitchen area, two double bedrooms, twin sleeping loft (access via ladder) and family shower room.

The lounge / dining area has a vaulted ceiling, Freesat Satellite TV, DVD, Hi Fi (via TV and DVD), wifi, Bose Bluetooth speaker, sofa & easy chairs, dining table for six and a lovely wood burning stove. Patio doors open onto a raised veranda area overlooking garden and woodland and there is a large glazed area to the gable end, which floods the cabin with light.

The kitchen is well equipped, with cooker, fridge /  freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and all necessary utensils, crockery, cutlery etc.

Shower room is tastefully finished and has electric shower, wash basin, toilet, heater, heated towel rail and shaver point / light.

Bedroom 1 has a double bed, built in wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side table.

Bedroom 2 has a double bed, wardrobe / clothes storage and bed side cabinet.

Loft room is accessed via a ladder and has twin beds, clothes hanger, chest of draws and bedside table.

Outside there is parking for 2 cars, an elevated veranda with garden furniture, a BBQ / fire pit area and ample grounds. The cabin provides privacy and is a short walk from the shores of Loch Awe. As well as beautiful scenery the grounds and surrounding woodland provide an outstanding habitat for a wide variety of wildlife species. Red Squirrel and Pine Marten are relatively common and many bird species inhabit the area. A great location for wildlife watchers and nature lovers.

The cabin is finished throughout with Scandinavian style painted timber lining, double glazed, highly insulated, well heated and suitable for year round use. It provides a balance of luxury and comfort while maintaining the character, charm and feel of a true log cabin in a peaceful woodland location.

The hot tub is available at an extra £103 / stay, which includes 3 bags of logs. Please confirm whether this is required at time of booking. Please note; the tub can take up to 5 hours to heat for initial use but retains heat well for subsequent use. Extra logs can be purchased from our House Keeper.

Response from the manager Glad you enjoyed your stay. For the record we do NOT ask guests to clean the cabin, just to leave it tidy, which is relatively normal for self catering accommodation. There are cleaniong products in the cabin if guests wish to use, which most do when stay for some while but we do a change over clean after all bookings. I did not receive any contact regarding the hot tub, had this have been the case someone would have been sent to assist. The instructions are however correct for the type of hot tub and it is actually very simple to use. The road from Taynuilt is the price we pay for the level of seclusion and unspoiled scenery available at Dalavich. The journey to Taynuilt is usually 25 - 30 minutes and the road is being re-surfaced as we speak.
