Description
This villa is a brand new refurbishment, light, airy and very spacious, finished to a high standard. There are 3 good sized bedrooms (one with 4 poster bed, one double and one twin), 2 bathrooms (one with hydro-massage and Turkish steam shower, and another with corner bath, double sinks and separate shower), fully equipped kitchen diner, utility room, and living room with comfy seating, large sofa bed and fireplace.
Beamed ceilings and traditional style flooring feature throughout the upstairs, along with solid chestnut windows and doors. Insect screens are fitted throughout the house.
Outside there are two covered terraces spanning two side of the house. These terraces are framed with arches - a perfect place for eating al fresco.
There is also a covered taverna in the gardens which has an additional fridge and this area is also complete with running machine and some bikes. Close to this area is a wood burning oven too, ideal for pizzas!
Within the flat gardens, there is a brand new private pool with roman steps.
There is plenty of room for exploring and one can walk cross country into the village of Pieve Fosciana
There is a bbq and outdoor wood oven.
The grounds are bordered by a stream

A little about location:
Situated in extensive grounds, bordered by a stream at the bottom, with views of open countryside and mountains beyond, this is a peaceful retreat. Despite the peace and privacy the site is less than a 10 minute walk cross country to the village of Pieve Fosciana with the following facilities
There are two restaurants - one of which is regarded to be the best in the area, but very well priced! Shops, including a delicatessen selling scrumptious home made Italian hot food to take away - with a menu that is changed daily.
The market town of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana is only a 5 minute drive away too, with its bars, restaurants, shops, famous Thursday morning market, and train station for easy exploring. Lucca is less than a one hour drive away, Barga is 20 minutes, Florence 90 minutes, Pisa 1 hr 15 minutes.
This property is well located for both relaxing and exploring, with the rare benefit of being within walking distance of a restaurant.
TOURIST TAX - Do note that there is a local stay tax applicable at €1 per person per night, up to a maximum of 5 nights. This does not apply to children under 14.
