Description
Rhiwlas farm cottage is based on a working farm in stunning countryside,close to the famous lake vyrnwy rspb reserve,its a cosy and peaceful place to have a break.
believed to be a former mill,re furbished to a high standard,fully fitted kitchen,super comfy sofa and beds,whirlpool bath in family bathroom,log burning stove,tv with wii games console,bike storage and washing facilities,perfect to relax after a days cycling,running or walking around the many parks and recreational sites within easy reach.for example,the super charged revolution bike course is 4 miles,and Nant yr Arian and Coed y Brenin forest parks 45 min drive away.
Ideally located to explore mid/ north wales and the borders with Barmouth ,Aberdyfi,Borth,Ynyslas beaches and the cities and towns of Shrewsbury,Chester oswestry,welshpool and Aberystwyth all within an hours drive.
There is something to suit all,come and enjoy a break.

“Not great”
Definitely needed a good clean! Ended up staying one night then left. ended up staying with family members and cramping up in there house as it was freezing. we had 6 month old baby woke up in middle of night she was freezing cold, owner said heating wasent going on because it’s still in its teens outside, but in an old cottage house it wasn’t that inside, full of dust, spiders and cob webs (which you could tell had been there for a while) and mouse droppings, got told if we wasent comfortable staying there she suggested we should just leave. Then complained when we left as we didn’t strip the beds due to covid rules which we didn’t even stay in as we was up all night figuring out what to do. Would of took more photos with the spiders in each and every corner in house along with the dead bugs left on the window sills but we did go round trying to kill every one of them, so we could feel abit more comfortable but there was too many. All bushes was near enough covering front door and all surroundings on the building was overgrown and not cut making it impossible to use the table and chairs as described was available in the advertisement. We booked this as we seen loads of reviews saying it was great and clean and owners were friendly, but we was very disappointed didn’t get offered no refund just an apology.

“Outstanding”
The accommodation was outstanding, firstly met by the lovely owner and then entered the house which was exactly how it was advertised, OUTSTANDING. So peaceful,clean full of character and exactly what we wanted. The surrounding area is so beautiful and the lake is stunning. Local amenities are basic but plentiful and the pubs serve wonderful food at sensible prices. I cannot thank the owner enough for allowing us to use the house. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic break away from the hassles of every day life.
