Description

St Andrews is The Home of Golf and home to the iconic Old Course.

This is a bright spacious two storey house in St Andrews in a quality residential area just under a mile from the town centre.

The house is well placed for access to St Andrews attractions including golf, ancient University of St Andrews, beaches, harbour, indoor swimming pool, lots of restaurants, supermarkets including Marks & Spencer, Tesco, Sainsbury, Morrisons, Aldi and a variety of local shops including Joe Malone, White Stuff, Rohan, Jack Wills, Crewe, Bobbi Brown, Joules.

A very convenient bus stop just 100 metres away from house with frequent service buses to the Town Centre and direct to Dundee.

Also further afield in Fife, Dundee, Tayside, Perth, Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow and Inverness in the far north.

The railway station serving St Andrews is just 6 miles away at Leuchars and a 12 minute taxi ride from the house.

The bus stop is located 100 yards from the house with a service to the Town Centre, to the Leuchars railway station and direct to Dundee (up to) every 20 minutes.

Walking to the Town Centre is a pleasant and brisk 20 - 30 minutes.

The house has a private and secluded side garden with chairs and table for sitting, socialising, lunching, dining.

Do you like to BBQ?

There is a gas fired BBQ available for use of guests (with gas at a small charge).

The ground floor of the house has a bright front entrance hall with natural oak floor, a cloakroom with toilet, a bright spacious and very comfortable lounge with natural oak floor, two settees and large screen TV and Bang & Olufsen hifi radio.

Then, through to a glass roofed bright and warm conservatory, having a comfortable Rattan suite comprising of sofa and two side chairs, a tiled floor with double doors to side garden and rear areas - perfect for relaxing after a full day of activities.

Beyond the conservatory is a quiet paved area for sitting out on sunny days, and to the side of the house a gravel surfaced side garden with timber summerhouse which stores the occasional table and chairs which can be brought out when required.

In season help yourself to apples from the three apple trees.

Two three seater substantial garden wooden benches and a hardwood coffee table.

The well equipped kitchen and breakfast room has a Magimix Espresso coffee machine, toaster, fridge and freezer, electric ceramic hob, electric fan assisted oven, stainless steel sink, microwave cooker for quick and easy meals, breakfast room with a table for six and a view of the side garden. Miele washing machine for laundry (or use the laundrette in the town if preferred).

On the first floor of the house are situated 3 rooms each with a double bed, bedside tables and clothes hanging space.

Also on the first floor of the house is situated the good sized family bathroom with shower over bath, wash hand basin and toilet.

The floor and walls of the bathroom are tiled and complemented with ceiling down-lighters and underfloor electric heating if required.

The house is served by very efficient gas fired central heating with radiators in hall, lounge, conservatory (also has electric underfloor heating), kitchen, breakfast room, toilet, three bedrooms and a tall chrome heated towel warmer in bathroom.

All radiators have thermostatic radiator valves to set your desired temperature in each room.

The hot water is supplied 24/7 by the gas fired central heating boiler, producing piping hot water when required to kitchen taps, toilet and upstairs bath, shower and wash hand basins.

There is also a wall mounted electric feature fire in the lounge with integral hot air blower.

There is off-street parking for 2 cars.

This is a traditional, very well appointed and equipped house in which your comfort and convenience is assured for your vacation, or visit to the University of St Andrews or holiday in St Andrews, the Home of Golf.

“Lovely stay at St Andrews”

Seona gave us a warm welcome. The house was clean and of a high standard. The house had all required amenities - WiFi, sky tv and sound system. The house is well located and within walking distance of St Andrews. It is an ideal location to use as a base to explore the Fife coastal area.

“Lovely House”

The house was lovely, really homely with everything you could ask for. We were given a really warm, helpful welcome and the location was everything we had hoped for. Really nice and quiet but a walk-able distance from the beautiful beaches and town centre. We definitely hope to be able to use this holiday home again.
