The famous 7 Stanes Cycle Route, the home of the Solway Yacht Club at Kippford, and one of Scotland's top 50 golf courses at Southerness are less than 15 minutes away, while less than a mile away is Colvend Golf Course, 'Scotland's Friendliest Club'. The National Trust calls Rockcliffe 'one of Scotland's prettiest stretches of coastline', perfect for exploring. Add in the amazing variety of wildlife at Caerlaverock, and the ultimate in love stories at Sweetheart Abbey and you have everything for your perfect holiday right on your doorstep.
The 5 bedroomed house is furnished to the highest standard and equipped with a Sonos Sound System in all rooms. All bedrooms are en-suite with luxurious bed linen and sumptuous towels. The property is only available for exclusive use so the grounds and features are yours alone to enjoy during your stay. Ideal for a group of friends or that special family occasion, either sharing a meal in the large dining kitchen, watching a film in front of a roaring log fire or enjoying a quiet Sunday morning reading the papers in the Snug, there is something for everyone. The landscaped gardens lead down to the loch where you have your own private boathouse with relaxed seating area and bar, you can fish from the jetty or just simply relax in the hot tub and watch the sun go down.
We think the secret to a happy holiday for a large group is to have something for everyone. Within minutes you can go fishing, cycling, golfing, sailing, walking, and so much more. Or simply pull up a chair on the jetty, relax and look out for the swans, cormorants or even an elusive otter. Remember, you have your own Scottish loch at the bottom of your garden!
The house has a MAXIMUM occupancy of 10 guests.
The house has oil-fired central heating, Sonos music system in all rooms (download the Sonos Controller app to you smart phone before your visit), and comprises:
GROUND FLOOR
* Spacious lounge with large comfy sofas set around the wood burning stove; Sky TV; patio doors leading to the decking which looks out over the gardens and loch.
* Snug with comfy Harris Tweed armchairs - a great place for reading the Sunday papers.
* Kitchen/dining room with electric oven and hob, large American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, NESPRESSO coffee machine (we will leave a few pods to get you started, but if you have your own favourites, please bring a supply with you) and patio doors to the decking for outside dining.
* Utility/boot room with washing machine.
* Cloakroom with hand basin and WC.
* Three en-suite double bedrooms, two with bathrooms with shower over the bath, hand basin and WC and one with shower room with walk in shower, hand basin and WC.
FIRST FLOOR
* Master bedroom suite with super king-sized bed, lounge area and en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle, hand basin, bidet and WC.
* Second bedroom suite with super king-size bed that can convert to twin beds, lounge area and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
BOATHOUSE comprising
* Relaxed seating area with bar and electric stove.

“Fantastic family week away”
From the opening of the gates to the walk down to the loch it was just beautiful. The living room and snug where soo spacious but cosy too. The large kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and more and the welcome pack was a lively touch. The dining table was a feature of many a family gathering and game nights. The 3 downstairs bedrooms were immaculate and the 2 suites upstairs were amazing with lovely views over the gardens and loch, one of our party never left the house and fished all week, the boat was great fun as was the hottub. The annex was great for the younger members of our group to escape to. All in all we had an amazing week, thanks Robert and Pam for a lovely stay in your beautiful home xx

“Idyllic Location”
This was our second visit to Forestway , having previously spent Christmas 2016 there. Forestway is a beautiful house set in private gated grounds with the White Loch at the bottom of the garden. Boathouse and Hot Tub sit on edge of Loch. Totally private. The house is spacious with each bedroom having en-suite facilities. Sonos system in every room . Lovely welcome basket on arrival. Owners very friendly and accommodating .
