Description
Leccino is one of three houses on a premier biological extra virgin olive oil estate called "Pornanino" , that sits on a panoramic hill in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany in the heart of the Gallo Nero area between Radda, Castellina and Vagliagli. It's a self contained cosy barn completely restored and refurbished to ensure every comfort and convenience to the guests, including one double bedroom and one bathroom (bath tub/shower), a fully equipped kitchen and a large living-room with dining area. The door opens onto a terrace and private garden overlooking the olive groves, ideal for enjoying the morning sun and the cool evening breeze. The terrace is equipped with table and chairs for alfresco dining and sun loungers for some relaxation. The house has its own central heating system, screens on windows, safe, SAT TV, DVD player, broadband internet connection/WI-FI, hair dryer, dishwasher, and stereo with CD player.
A beautifully kept garden surrounds the houses. Close by, is located the swimming pool (6 x 12 m) with spacious solarium terrace furnished with deckchairs and umbrellas. Note that the pool is shared by the guests of the houses and on occasion by our family (we live up the hill from the cottages).
There is a separate laundry room with washing machine for the exclusive use of the accommodations.
Pornanino is accessible through 5 km of unpaved road very well maintained . The medieval town of Castellina in Chianti with restaurants, wine shops , cafés , supermarkets, grocery stores , post office , banks and other shops is 5 km, Florence 32 km and Siena 18 km . San Gimignano , Volterra, Arezzo and many other attractive cities are easily accessible by car. The property is 9 km from Radda in Chianti , another medieval city atop a hill with cobbled streets and a good choice of restaurants and bars.
