Plenty of local walks to the beaches and countryside. Visit the Golf Museum, Old Course, Botanical Gardens or amble along picturesque coastal and riverside paths where you may chance upon a wide variety of birds (kingfishers, dippers, ducks, herons, finches, seabirds, etc.). Several National Trust properties and nature reserves within half an hour's drive. Numerous other places of interest within a similar radius and beyond.
