Description

This contemporary studio is beautifully set with the famous Forth Bridges to the front and railway trail to the rear. Clever design allows the glass fronted living space to accommodate living, sleeping and cooking comfortably. The small bunk room enables the studio to accommodate a small group/family with bespoke double bunks providing additional sleeping accommodation to the double wall bed in the Living area.

The well-equipped kitchen makes the most of the space incorporating a fridge, 3 ring induction hob, sink, oak worktops, full size oven, microwave and storage for the adequate crockery/pans provided.

The toilet/shower room is surprisingly spacious and is fully tiled. The double size built-in shower provides a feeling of luxury but does not detract from the space which is adequate for changing in.

The picturesque seaside town of South Queensferry is less than 10 miles from Edinburgh city centre and has excellent transport links. Dalmeny Station is within the town, Edinburgh airport is approximately 3 miles away, the M8 to Glasgow, M9 to Stirling and A90 all on the doorstep.

Within walking distance there is Port Edgar sailing school, Cycle paths, Dundas Castle, Dalmeny & Hopetoun Houses, Sandy beaches, Museum, Bars & Restaurants. Within 20 minutes by car, bus or train there is Deep Sea World and All the attractions that Edinburgh offers. If you wish to travel further Queensferry is excellently positioned to get to the rest of Scotland's attractions.

The Nook is simply a lovely place to stay!

“Lovely stay”

“Fabulous Hosts - Amazing view”

We spent 3 night in the nook at the beginning of August, we loved the fact it was a short train ride from Edinburgh and a short walk from the station (as long as you don't take the wrong path). The nook was spotlessly clean on our arrival and there were much needed welcome biscuits and tea/coffee. We sat outside in the evening with a takeaway admiring the view of the bridges and boats on the river. My hubby enjoyed asking the google device questions (I just hope nobody could see what he asked) and it was very handy for playing music in the evenings. Alison and her husband where so helpful throughout or stay but especially on our last morning taking us to our car hire pick up. Would recommend to all my friends and hope to stay again.
