Description

Greystones is a charming late 17th Century Grade II listed house standing on the High Street right in the heart of the historic fishing village of Staithes. It was originally a village inn called the Golden Lion – and reputedly a hotbed of smuggling activity - now it is a spacious and characterful holiday get-away sleeping 9 people in 5 bedrooms where you can self cater in comfort and style.

“Beautiful Home”

I've stayed at Greystones a few times now. It is always a 10/10 stay. Clean and well equipped. Good for groups of friends/family and dogs! Great location and very helpful host.

“Fantastic Stay! Highly Recommend.”

We have stayed twice at Greystones. It’s a fantastic, spacious house and feels like home from home. The location is fantastic with tea rooms, pubs and shops within a few minutes walk. There are lovely walks and we walked to Sandsend and visited a lovely restaurant called Fish Cottage. The house is very clean and has everything you need for a greats stay. The bedrooms are lovely and spacious and there’s plenty of space for you all to relax. I couldn’t recommend this house more, it’s lovely. Claire is a fantastic host and on hand for anything you need. Thank you!!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your booking page. To change your dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Claire (the owner) a message.

If Claire (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
