This home from home has been lovingly renovated and has a timeless charm making it the perfect choice for a relaxing holiday destination for families and small groups looking to relax and spend quality time together. Set on the time honoured cobbled high street of this peaceful, unspoilt fishing village there are restaurants and shops on the doorstep, whilst the decked balcony at the back overlooks the ever changing tidal beck and provides stunning views of the local landscape which has a beauty that has inspired many artists.

The beach and harbour are virtually on the door step and take a short stroll through the narrow streets passed the quaint shops and art gallery to heritage centre to find out more about Captain Cook and the history of this much loved coastal hamlet.

For the more adventurous the local area offers the opportunity to visit and explore a mix of cove beaches, fishing harbours as well as magnificent cliff top coastal walks.

“Location, location, location”

Nice house in picturesque village - we had a good few days and as it was the beginning of the Easter break we were able to enjoy it quietly - would imagine it is different at peak times. You park at the top of the village and wander down to the house although you can drive down to unload etc. Cod & Lobster pub highly recommended- gluten free possible too! House simple but clean and good layout. Make sure to visit Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Saltburn, Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby.

“Perfect Christmas Get Away”

The cottage is beautifully presented and bigger than it looks in the pictures. The Christmas tree in the living room was a lovely touch and somewhere to put the presents for opening on Christmas morning! Non of us had ever been to Staithes before - what a picture book place with plenty of festive touches. We didn't even mind the VERY steep walk up to the car park (worked off some of the Christmas food and drink.....). Would definitely recommend as a perfect base for touring North Yorks.

How do damage deposits work?
