Description

Old Stables Cottage is one of three cottages set around a landscaped courtyard. Being light, airy and homely with the majority of windows facing West, the cottage not only has lovely views of the surrounding fields and forestry but also takes full advantage of the beautiful sunsets.

The front door opens into the landscaped courtyard which is a veritable suntrap in summer where guests can sit out and relax or sit in the porch / sun room which is perfect on those cooler days. The sun room is also where you will be able to access the wi-fi and the best mobile signal for this location is from Vodafone.

The cottage kitchen is equipped a cooker, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle and all the necessary cutlery, crockery and utensils and there is seating for four at the dining table.

The lounge has a fireplace with electric fire, a flat screen TV with over 100 satellite channels, a radio / CD player and a few games, jigsaws, books and magazines. Information brochures for places of interest through the local area are also provided along with Guest Information and Safety folders provide instructions on how to operate everything within the cottage.

The cottage is perfect for full week holidays or quiet weekends / short breaks for singles or couples seeking a quiet break without being totally isolated and where there are shops and other facilities just a short drive away.

Response from the owner Hello Louise & thank you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. Unfortunately our location prevents us from obtaining a good internet signal despite boosters being installed in the cottages. However, I do hope it will not deter you from returning to enjoy the cottage & Portpatrick again at some point in the future.
