Your cabin in the woods is located in a private area 1 1/2 miles from West Glacier, entrance to Glacier National Park. You can depart your mountain retreat and walk to restaurants, a bistro, or fine dining at the historic Belton Chalet and Pub. West Glacier offers raft companies, a grocery store, gas stations, and even a post office to send those post cards home. Isaac Walton, sitting on the Continental Divide, is a worthwhile trip on the south side of Glacier Park, featuring a railroad stop, complete with boxcars and a theme pub and restaurant with photos of the rich history surrounding the area. Hungry Horse Dam is only 10 miles from the home; this is the 7th largest dam in the world and is worth seeing. You can actually ride up and down in an elevator inside of the dam itself! Drive over the dam and enter the Bob Marshall Wilderness and the 50 mile long reservoir that holds the snow melt and moisture eventually flowing into the Pacific Ocean. The San Suz Ed is a mile from the cabin, a mainstay in the area, featuring mouthwatering specialties that you will just have to try for yourself. Lake McDonald Lodge is minutes away, so you can listen to the piano bar or take a cruise on the lake that is offered at the Lodge. An easy boardwalk adventure awaits at the Trail of the Cedars. Ask the owner any questions you may have.
