Description

Our cute and cozy guest house is now available for vacation rentals. The property is located on a wooded hilltop overlooking Wimberley with stunning views of the valley. It is the perfect location for those looking for a quiet place to stay while in the area for shopping or special events. It is only minutes away from the Wimberley Square.

There are two separate guest areas located in the same building. The downstairs has a private bedroom, fully equipped kitchen, full bath, king bed and sleeper sofa in the living area.

The upstairs has a large open area, queen bed, 2 twin beds, sleeper sofa and full mattress in the loft. There is a kitchenette with sink, microwave oven and refrigerator. It has a large bath with shower. Keurig coffee makers and included in both units along with the pods.

We have DISH Satellite service and there are large flat panel TVs on both levels with Netflix available downstairs. We also have free Wi-Fi service.

There is a large stone patio with hot tub and Weber gas grill. We also feature a new swimming pool just off the patio that is fully surrounded by a wooden deck. There is an outdoor shower next to the hot tub.

A walking trail begins near the patio and winds past a sitting area, on past the tree house and ends at another sitting are on the opposite side.

People come to Wimberley from all over the country to enjoy the quaint village, shop at the Wimberley Market Days or for weddings and other special events. Our Buttercup guest house is the perfect spot to spend the night, rest and relax before or after your activities.

Buttercup is situated on a high hill overlooking the Wimberley Valley. We have 5 wooded acres. There is a main house and guest house located on the property. Guests have exclusive use of the patio, hot tub and swimming pool during their stay.

We recycle. You may deposit your aluminum cans, glass and plastic bottles in the container located on the guest house front porch or deposit them in the tan top trash cart by the entry gate. The green top trash cart is for your regular trash. Please do not deposit plastic grocery bags or trash bags in the recycling containers. Our service does not recycle plastic bags. Thanks for helping out with our recycling effort.

Guests must be at least 25 years of age in order to book the property. There is an additional fee of $25 per person per night for over 6 guests (including children and infants). No events or loud parties are permitted. Absolutely no outside guests are permitted on the property without the consent of the owners. Children are not permitted in the hot tub or pool without adult supervision. No horse play, water guns or other toys permitted in the hot tub.

“Nice place but....”

Very nice place, nice pool, beautiful view but just be aware of what the pictures don't show you.... the owners front door is literally 30 feet away. And their front door and porch face the fron… More

Response from the owner Thank you for your review of your stay at the Buttercup Guest House. It is true that the main house is close to the guest house. However, the layout of our home provides a measure of separation. We spend our time in the back living areas of the main house from which we cannot see or hear our guests nor can they see us when they are enjoying the patio, hot tub and pool. We are frequently on the front porch in the evening when our guests arrive. This gives us a chance to greet them and answer any questions about the layout of the lodgings and well as information about parking, hot tub, pool information, local amenities, as well as walking trails around the property. It also should be noted that this particular booking was done by a third party agent here in Wimberley and was not booked directly through our private listing on Trip Advisor. When guests book directly through our listing we have the opportunity to answer any questions they might have regarding the layout of the guest house or other issues they might have. It is certainly not our intention to have our guests feel uncomfortable with the arrangements here at Buttercup and have advised the local agent to refer guests to another property should they be seeking total privacy.

Perfect setting at a perfect distance if your looking for a restful, quiet spot with easy access to restaurants and shops. Hummers and deer were a wonderful bonus. Great value!
