We are located in the heart of the Pisgah National Forest, central to everything, in the heart of the High Country... we believe we have found the PERFECT location for your mountain get away. We are centrally located between Boone & Asheville, our cabin is close to everything. We are located within 10 minutes of the areas best gem mining, 15 minutes of the nationally acclaimed Penland School of Crafts, 10 minutes of the beautiful Linville Falls and Linville Caverns, 20 minutes of Grandfather Mountain, 30 minutes of Mount Mitchell, 30-40 minutes of the ski slopes. We are 45 minutes to The Biltmore Estate in Asheville and Appalachian State University in Boone! GO horseback riding through the river just 15 minutes from us and slide down waterfalls just 30 minutes from , videos on our You Tube Channel of our family doing al of these high county activities. Link on our site home page to 30 short clips. We pride ourselves in offering our family's cabin at the lowest prices on The Blue Ridge Parkway. You will not find a newer, nicer cabin on The Parkway for less! We work hard and play hard and this is the most relaxing place we know. We are secluded yet only 15 minutes to area restaurants and grocery stores but while at the cabin you will feel as though you are far from civilization. It's that quiet, secluded and peaceful. No traffic or sound pollution! Just nature, trees blowing in the wind, the trickle of the creek below and the birds above. Be sure to look in the pine tree behind the cabin for our resident Bald Eagle.Two queen bedrooms, two full baths, we include all sheets, towels, linens, trash bags, toilet paper, dish soap and organic made in the mountains of NC guest soap for the bathrooms. Just bring your clothes and food and leave your cares behind!We know the area well and love to help plan your itinerary so you get the most of your mountain vacation. Response from the owner Unfortunately this guest was bitter from the get-go and did not book through Trip Advisor and tried to dispute all the credit card charges before the lock box code was given, to get a FREE stay. She had to meet us to pay cash to obtain a key as we would not accept a second credit card. She threatened us with a bad review if we did not refund all her money so here we it. She left a day early and never mentioned any of this during her stay. We are in the National Forest and the fire pit is in an open area that won't risk fire hazards that you can walk to in 300 steps. The mattresses have been improved with memory foam they are hotel style mattresses that are firm. We have never had a complaint about privacy, we tell folks if you want to skinny dip in the hot tub the only thing that will see you is the Bald Eagle that lives behind cabin 1. We have honemooners come back for anniversaries year after year and our reviews speak for themselves. The HDTV is perfect for the cozy size of the living room. No where in our rental agreement or on Trip Advisor does it say the balance is paid upon check out. This guest is bitter and again, tried to stay for free from the get go. We aim to exceed expectations and we do that 99 out of 100 times.
