Fetching Fox Cabin

Blowing Rock log cabin

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Quiet! Relaxing! Clean!” Our stay in February was the day after 8" of snow fall. The winding road up to the cabin was clear as was the driveway! The fireplace and hot tub were the highlights of the weekend (hint to future renters: bring kindling...lots of firewood provided but need something to get it started). Would definitely rent here again.

Blowing Rock house

4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 11

“Awesome and Blissful” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blissful Vista. Jenkins Rentals is wonderful and helpful. We have been coming to Blowing Rock for 14 years and are looking forward to next year. The location was perfect, private but still around everyone. Just make sure you have 4 wheel drive as always. The view is fantastic, ever changing and peaceful. Totally enjoyed waking up and just looking out the window to see the sunrise. Love the wood burning fireplace. If you are a chef, the kitchen was perfect and had everything one needs. Our favorite part is just enjoying the view out on the awesome decks. Thank you for a wonderful home and sweet memories.

Royal Oak 325 great In-Town condo location, walk to Main Street

Blowing Rock apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Nice Royal Oak Condo #325 with A/C near downtown Blowing Rock” The Royal Oak condo complex has 3 buildings, with Bldg 3 (housing unit 325) maybe being the quietest of the three. It is about a 3 block walk to downtown Blowing Rock, and although 2 blocks of it is a slight uphill trek, it avoids trying to find a parking spot during busy times, which is very convenient. Although this is not a view property, the location is great. Unit 325 is a second floor condo with two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Between the bedrooms is the living room, dining area and a nice looking kitchen with granite countertops. There is a moderately loud wall-mounted A/C unit in the dining area, which is good at cooling the main part of the condo, but takes a while to cool the bedrooms. (Despite Blowing Rock's cooler temp's, the A/C was definitely needed during our stay in June and we were glad to have it.) There is a large ceiling fan over the dining table, but none in the living room. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan, which helps a lot. The owner has placed quality furniture thoughout, including a leather sofa and recliner. The living room TV, with cable box (basic cable only) and a DVD player connected, is huge with a great picture. But it must be turned up when the A/C runs, and then seems loud when the A/C shuts off, so we had to adjust the TV volume often to have a comfortable listening level. Each bedroom also has a TV and cable box, but no DVD player. Overall, we had a nice 4-night stay at unit 325, with only the loud A/C requiring a louder TV as an inconvenience. We can recommend Royal Oak unit 325 as a nice and comfortable condo that is walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock.

Royal Oak 216 great In-Town condo location, walk to Main Street

Blowing Rock apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Good value and location” The condo was well-kept and very convenient to Blowing Rock. It was very efficiently laid out. The folks from Jenkins Realtors were very nice to work with. The only feedback I would offer is to have some blankets available in the wintertime. The bed spread was very heavy and warm so it was either too hot with it on or too cold with it off. Other than that small thing everything was great.

“beautiful secluded home” this is a beautful home with plenty of privacy . the kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need. the bathrooms have plenty of towels. the house feels like home not a rental. the road that leads to the house is steep but you can come in from the top and exit at the bottom with no problem.

Hawks View House * Magnificent Views * Architect's Unique Mountain Top Retreat

Blowing Rock house

“So much more than expected!” My wife and I found this place about 1.5 years ago and wanted to come and stay for our anniversary, but it was booked. We knew that we'd love to make it out the next year and so we did. What an amazing experience! My wife and I are drawn to the mountains and we weren't disappointed. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the house is a gorgeous addition to it. The pictures of the property do not do it justice. We brought our 3 year old with us and she loved it just as much as we did; especially the wood stove. Four days was definitely not enough to enjoy the house, the view and the surrounding areas. We fell in love with house and actually ended up spending half of our days lounging around inside, and staring out the huge window in the living/dining room area. Inside the home were notes that helped with the operation of some things. Switches were labeled and instructions for the wood stove were also very helpful. It was very clean and welcoming as well. It was the perfect size for our three person family and we all felt completely at home during our stay. We are looking forward to our next stay here and hope that it is soon and longer than our first. My wife and I very highly recommend Hawks View.

3 Bears

Blowing Rock house

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Peaceful and Quiet” I recently took my parents to the mountains for the Fourth of July. We stayed at the Three Bears cabin. The cabin is beautiful and very clean. The location is great. It is close to Boone, yet secluded enough that you get peace and quiet. The only thing you hear are the birds singing. I have dealt with Wits End vacation rentals for a few years now, and have always found them to be very helpful and eager to please. That is why I keep going back to them. I would suggest anyone considering a stay in the high country to contact at Your Wits End.

Blowing Rock log cabin

“Peaceful, relaxing, great location” Our stay was so relaxing and Silver Fox is a charming home. The covered back porch is perfect for dining, reading, afternoon naps and listening to the far off sounds of the Tweetsie train in the distance. It is pet friendly with good areas to exercise pets. Silver Fox is an old fashioned cabin with every modern convenience attended. The location between Boone and Blowing Rock is just right with easy access. The rental agent, Lynn at At Your Wit's End was especially accommodating with our last minute plans.

Shady Lane is a adorable compact cottage, in-town Blowing Rock

Blowing Rock house

2 bedrooms / 1 bathroom / sleeps 4

“Riding Horses at Moses Cone and staying at Shady Lane - 1 1/2 mi” A friend and I stayed at Shady Lane for 3 days/2 nights. We came up to ride horses, and stroll around Blowing Rock. Shady Lane is superbly located. You could park your car and walk everywhere. It also was very cozy and quiet. I will definitely be bringing my husband back for a getaway. The funny thing is, the first night we had no heat and had gotten rained on while riding horses and we were chilled and the Heater didn't work. We built a fire in the stove, but we slept in our sweatpants and wished we had more covers. The next day I phoned the rentals to say we needed heat. When we got in from riding again there was no heat. The rental lady was very nice and came by to check things out. She offered to move us. But we cuddled up in the L.R., got more wood from a convenience story. I was settled in on the couch and my friend had made a make-shift bed with two chairs. The fire was roaring. at 10:00p.m. there was knock on the door and we were surprised, shocked and a little scared about who would be knocking at that hour. It was the heating people. They stayed until 11:00p.m. But got the heater running. We were so comfy in our makeshift camp in the living room that we cut the heat down and stayed there. It was something to laugh about and add to our stories. Ha.

“Nice Place to Stacy, loved the creek” Cabin was extremely clean and nice. I have a 12 year old son that was impressed by the fact the cabin had board games, books, and movies (cabin had dvd player. My favorite place was the deck. I love to hear the water running and you were right on top of the creek. There was a grill on the deck and made an excellent place to cook out and relax. Excellent views of creeK. I would definitely stay in this cabin again. Absolutely loved the place.

Sunset West gorgeous timber frame home with 3 bedrooms and ping pong

Blowing Rock house

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“So much better than a hotel” Great location to get that out of town feeling but not too far out to be able to quickly get somewhere. House very clean, tastefully appointed and everything in good working order. View was beautiful and the comfort of home and space and cleanliness was enjoyed by our family of four. I could see returning every year. Check-in with office was quick as was check-out. House is very near trails, Moses Cone Park, Flat Top Manor, Blue Ridge Parkway, Sky Valley Zip Tours and a lake and it would have been nice to Have discovered that the 1st day we arrived. Also Grandfather Mountain and the Linville Falls are about an hour away and you don't want to miss them. The is Internet and phone service but we had to ask about it and were then given the number and access code. We would have liked to have been provided that at check-in.

Great location

Great location, convenient to both Blowing Rock and Boone. Still has the "mountain home" vibe without being too far from civilization. Unless that's what you're looking for. Downstairs split bedrooms/livingroom set up really convenient for the kids. Beds very hard and pillows uncomfortable so be prepared. Otherwise good times all around.see more

Beautiful home in a beautiful setting

What was described in the listing and shown in the pictures is exactly what we got - an attractive, well appointed home in a beautiful setting. The home was not only attractive but was very comfortable. Everything we needed was in place when we arrived and information was available to answer any question that might arise. The owner touched base with us to make sure everything was okay when we arrived and provided contact information in the event any problems came up. We had been scheduled to be at the house a week earlier but due to very heavy snowfall we could not travel. Throughout the week before we were scheduled to arrive, the owner stayed in touch with us and provided links to local weather. When we determined we would not be able to come on our reserved dates, the owner provided other options and we felt very lucky to be able to make our trip the following week. We relaxed and fully enjoyed the very peaceful setting. We are looking forward to visiting again so we can experience Hawks View House in other seasons.see more
