Blissful Vista has breathtaking gorge views, secluded mountain cottage

Blowing Rock house

4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 11

“Awesome and Blissful” We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blissful Vista. Jenkins Rentals is wonderful and helpful. We have been coming to Blowing Rock for 14 years and are looking forward to next year. The location was perfect, private but still around everyone. Just make sure you have 4 wheel drive as always. The view is fantastic, ever changing and peaceful. Totally enjoyed waking up and just looking out the window to see the sunrise. Love the wood burning fireplace. If you are a chef, the kitchen was perfect and had everything one needs. Our favorite part is just enjoying the view out on the awesome decks. Thank you for a wonderful home and sweet memories.

Cabin in the Sky a secluded two level mountain home with great views

Blowing Rock house

3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“I'VE already booked it for next summer!” What a fun cabin to share with family and friends for the Blowing Rock horse show! The road to get there is not for the faint hearted..yes, I screamed a lot, every time...but the destination is worth it. Plenty of room, well stocked kitchen , great washer/dryer, fast internet, beautiful view, total peace and quiet. Only drawbacks, besides the scary road: downstairs is quite musty, but you sort of get used to it, use the fan, etc, and it is a bit of pain to haul all trash/garbage to the dump.

“Big place, great place!” Loved this unit at Chetola... second time staying here with my wife and sons. So much to do in the condo, let alone on the Chetola grounds and around Blowing Rock. Game room is a great touch, but can also be a bedroom if need be (with a pullout couch). Bedrooms are beautiful, the entire unit is decorated sharply.

Slopeview Chalet has a flat yard and is on Appalachian Ski Mtn.

Blowing Rock house

4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“Great Vacation Rental” We had a lovely stay at Slopeview even if it did rain every single day. Our main quest was to find a house close to Blowing Rock with minimal steps as our 90 yr.old parents would be staying there along with some grandchildren and friends. The old folks were very comfortable with 4 spacious bedrooms all with bath and a extra living area with tv and games on the second floor. Pretty much everything you will need is there. Washer/dryer,large porch area and good size yard for kids and animals. There is an extra fee for pets but grateful that they were able to bring there little dog. This would be a perfect rental in the winter as the ski slopes are right out side the door, though it is not a ski/on house. The entrance to Ski Mtn. is right around the corner. Will keep it in mind for further visits.

Fetching Fox Cabin

Blowing Rock log cabin

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 6

“Quiet! Relaxing! Clean!” Our stay in February was the day after 8" of snow fall. The winding road up to the cabin was clear as was the driveway! The fireplace and hot tub were the highlights of the weekend (hint to future renters: bring kindling...lots of firewood provided but need something to get it started). Would definitely rent here again.

“Perfect experience in every way.” Location, ease of access, comfortable, clean, tons of room. A perfect place for our family to enjoy the mountains. We were close but not cramped, the eating area allowed everyone to spread out. Lots of places to sit, relax, rest, or recover from a busy day.

Ollie's Overlook fabulous multi-level cabin located in Blackberry Gorge

Blowing Rock house

4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 10

“Wonderful” Our stay was perfect and enjoyed by all. Our grandchildren enjoy the private space in the loft and let the adults enjoy adult TV. The location was also perfect, quiet and secluded but still close town. only one problem the night of severe wind and cold, the bathroom windows were not sealed properly and the wind whistled in and rattled the doors and blinds making it difficult to sleep. It was also very cold in the bathroom. Don't feel we had any service once we were there and I offer a suggestion that the office call the early on in the stay to see if all is well. we plan on using your service again later this year.

Royal Oak 325 great In-Town condo location, walk to Main Street

Blowing Rock apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Nice Royal Oak Condo #325 with A/C near downtown Blowing Rock” The Royal Oak condo complex has 3 buildings, with Bldg 3 (housing unit 325) maybe being the quietest of the three. It is about a 3 block walk to downtown Blowing Rock, and although 2 blocks of it is a slight uphill trek, it avoids trying to find a parking spot during busy times, which is very convenient. Although this is not a view property, the location is great. Unit 325 is a second floor condo with two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Between the bedrooms is the living room, dining area and a nice looking kitchen with granite countertops. There is a moderately loud wall-mounted A/C unit in the dining area, which is good at cooling the main part of the condo, but takes a while to cool the bedrooms. (Despite Blowing Rock's cooler temp's, the A/C was definitely needed during our stay in June and we were glad to have it.) There is a large ceiling fan over the dining table, but none in the living room. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan, which helps a lot. The owner has placed quality furniture thoughout, including a leather sofa and recliner. The living room TV, with cable box (basic cable only) and a DVD player connected, is huge with a great picture. But it must be turned up when the A/C runs, and then seems loud when the A/C shuts off, so we had to adjust the TV volume often to have a comfortable listening level. Each bedroom also has a TV and cable box, but no DVD player. Overall, we had a nice 4-night stay at unit 325, with only the loud A/C requiring a louder TV as an inconvenience. We can recommend Royal Oak unit 325 as a nice and comfortable condo that is walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock.

Royal Oak 216 great In-Town condo location, walk to Main Street

Blowing Rock apartment

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 4

“Good value and location” The condo was well-kept and very convenient to Blowing Rock. It was very efficiently laid out. The folks from Jenkins Realtors were very nice to work with. The only feedback I would offer is to have some blankets available in the wintertime. The bed spread was very heavy and warm so it was either too hot with it on or too cold with it off. Other than that small thing everything was great.

Sunset West gorgeous timber frame home with 3 bedrooms and ping pong

Blowing Rock house

3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms / sleeps 8

“So much better than a hotel” Great location to get that out of town feeling but not too far out to be able to quickly get somewhere. House very clean, tastefully appointed and everything in good working order. View was beautiful and the comfort of home and space and cleanliness was enjoyed by our family of four. I could see returning every year. Check-in with office was quick as was check-out. House is very near trails, Moses Cone Park, Flat Top Manor, Blue Ridge Parkway, Sky Valley Zip Tours and a lake and it would have been nice to Have discovered that the 1st day we arrived. Also Grandfather Mountain and the Linville Falls are about an hour away and you don't want to miss them. The is Internet and phone service but we had to ask about it and were then given the number and access code. We would have liked to have been provided that at check-in.

Hawks View House * Magnificent Views * Architect's Unique Mountain Top Retreat

Blowing Rock house

2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms / sleeps 5

“So much more than expected!” My wife and I found this place about 1.5 years ago and wanted to come and stay for our anniversary, but it was booked. We knew that we'd love to make it out the next year and so we did. What an amazing experience! My wife and I are drawn to the mountains and we weren't disappointed. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the house is a gorgeous addition to it. The pictures of the property do not do it justice. We brought our 3 year old with us and she loved it just as much as we did; especially the wood stove. Four days was definitely not enough to enjoy the house, the view and the surrounding areas. We fell in love with house and actually ended up spending half of our days lounging around inside, and staring out the huge window in the living/dining room area. Inside the home were notes that helped with the operation of some things. Switches were labeled and instructions for the wood stove were also very helpful. It was very clean and welcoming as well. It was the perfect size for our three person family and we all felt completely at home during our stay. We are looking forward to our next stay here and hope that it is soon and longer than our first. My wife and I very highly recommend Hawks View.

So close to appalachian Ski Mountain and close to Blowing Rock. The house was well equipped and the folks at Jenkins were more than helpful. We will definitely rent this house again next year.
