This is a three bedroom, two bath home with an open kitchen, separate dining room, and comfortable living room. There is a huge deck (the full length of the home) facing a postcard view of the mountains. There are two TVs and a huge library of movies. Yummy Mud Puddle is a rental home which shares the land of the home of the owners, all on 10 very private acres. The owners are an artist couple, totally charming and delightful people. There is plenty to do in and around Burnsville itself, and it's only a 35-minute drive into downtown asheville.

This home was well taken care of. Clean, organized, all the essentials provided. The view cannot be beat. Wildlife (deer, wild turkeys, birds) were available for photographing. Claudia and John were great...they were welcoming and shared their home, studios, and community with us: we got to go see Duck Soup in action, ate at the Dig In Empty Bowls event, came home with some of Claudia's pottery to share with family and friends. We used the home as our base as we toured the NC Quilt Trails, practiced our photography skills, and took quilting lessons at a local quilt shop. It was a fantastic week.

We have stayed at Yummy Mud Puddle annually for the last several years, and it beats any other place we've stayed in the asheville area. This is a three bedroom home with a really good kitchen, living room, and dining room. The entire length of the home has a huge deck facing the mountains; the views are amazing. The only noises you hear are from birds--no traffic sounds. The home is owned and managed by an artist couple, so the furnishings and decor are artsy and whimsical. They (Claudia and John) live on the property, but not so close as to be intrusive; however, they are close enough to answer any questions or provide advice. The house also comes with thoughtful amenities such as an outdoor grill. Burnsville is a lovely little town north of asheville; there are several art galleries, a good supermarket, and other stores. It's an easy 40-minute drive from downtown asheville, but there's also plenty to do even closer than asheville.
