Welcome to Los Mangos ! There are not any recent reviews because we recently switched our listing from another rental site to Trip Advisor. Built 4 years ago the home is in pristine condition. Sorry but we can not do long term rentals.
A truly stunning ocean and coastline view extends for miles upon miles from north of the famous Whale’s Tail down the coast, around to the Osa Peninsula and across the sea to Cano Island; a popular dive and snorkeling area. With perfect temperatures, at 1600 feet in elevation, feel the warmth of the sun while staying cool enough to never need air conditioning. Located on the central pacific coast in upscale Escalares, you are just a 20 minute drive from the sleepy surf town of Dominical. This area is one of the only areas of Costa Rica where the mountains rise out of the sea offering a true jungle experience with spectacular ocean views.
Our Costa Verde community is very secure due to its location and the entrance being gated and manned by a guard that monitors all visitors. Situated on 10 acres at the end of a road, the home is completely private and quiet.
All you will hear are the birds, the occasional howler monkey, and see our daily visit from our resident pizote and beautiful Toucans.
The house is all on one level. The extra large great room is perfect for relaxing with family and friends, while still enjoying the dramatic vista through a wall of windows. Lending to the open feel, 3 extra-wide patio sliders open out to the view and outdoor dining area. The interior feels warm yet elegant with marble floors and wood carvings from Bali. The house is newly built, clean, solid, and well-sealed. The kitchen is equipped with granite counter-tops, top-end appliances and all the cooking gear you need. The large luxurious leather couch is comfortable for socializing or stretching out and watching the large screen TV. There are also ceiling fans in the bedrooms, kitchen and living area. The Blu-ray player plays blu-ray disks, regular dvd’s and music cd’s. Also Sky TV provides HBO, CNN, Bloomberg news, music channels, movies, and much more. We also have a soundbar that enables music to be played from your ipad, iphone, etc via bluetooth. Many homes in Costa Rica are not built with the idea of keeping spiders, geckos, etc out of the home. This home was constructed to minimize these intrusions. All windows and slider doors have tight screens. We also regularly have the outside of the home sprayed for spiders.
With two walls of windows, the master bedroom, with queen bed, overlooks the pool and the stunning panorama. Window curtains are provided for privacy. The on-suite bathroom features an extra large walk-in shower and double sinks. Just outside, toward the jungle side of the house, is an outdoor shower with a gorgeous mosaic tile wall. The smaller second and third bedrooms, each with a queen bed, share a bathroom that also has a walk-in shower and the second outdoor shower facing the jungle. Each bedroom has storage shelving for clothes, suitcases, etc. The fully stocked laundry room has full sized washer and dryer.
Outdoors you can bask in the sun by the pool or relax with a book or a drink on the covered terrace, or just enjoy the scenery and wildlife. How about starting the day with a game of tennis on the newly constructed court located within the development?
A small grocery market in nearby Dominical has almost everything you might need. For more variety there is a bigger supermarket in Uvita, about 20 minutes south of Dominical. The newly built San Buenas Golf Course is also located in Uvita. And if you want to travel further - the largest nearby city of San Isidro El General lies 40 minutes up into the Talamanca mountain range offering a wide range of stores. If you aren’t in the mood to cook, there are a number of excellent options for dining out in Dominical and Uvita. Plus don’t miss the world-class restaurants in Ojochal just 30 minutes down the main road. Your activities might include seeing the wildlife at Hacienda Baru, taking the Osa Mountain canopy tour, going on the Nauyaca Falls horseback tour, strolling down a beautiful secluded beach, or surfing.
A local manager will meet you when you arrive and be available to assist with any needs you may have. They can help arrange on-site massage, tours, additional housekeeping, or practically anything you desire.
