“Peaceful, cosy and homely”

Reviewed 25 Feb 2020

After a lovely welcome and being shown round by Jenny, I settled in for a peaceful weekend. I had a lovely time. The weather wasn't great so I spent the weekend reading, watching tv, doing a puzzle on the dining table and generally relaxing. There's a lovely view across the drive to fields, and the village and surrounding countryside is very pretty. Had it been less stormy it would have been a lovely place to go for a walk. It was very peaceful and I slept very well in a comfortable bed. There is a local village shop and a nice pub nearby if you don't want to travel far. I took food with me so I was covered for most of the weekend and just topped up at the village shop. The flat is next to the owners property and I wasn't disturbed at all and it felt very private. It was comforting to know there was someone about if I needed them, particularly as a women on my own. My stay was warm and toasty and had everything I needed in the kitchen and bathroom. There was a garden area at the rear of the flat that would be great on a sunny day. The fresh flowers were a lovely touch. I would be happy to stay again.
