Description

DON'T MISS LAMBING LIVE - 10TH MARCH TO EARLY MAY - BOOK NOW FOR A HOLIDAY TO REMEMBER (See lambs being born, help feed, bed sheep and bottle lambs if you wish with our supervision)

Stay in a spacious converted barn on our working farm nr Dovedale. Walkers paradise. Has private garden with great views down the valley. Manifold cycle trail is just down the road

Framed by ancient copper beeches our farmstead nestles at the foot of Wetton Hill surrounded by miles of rolling countryside. Our cottage is tastefully decorated, well equipped and very well cared for.

* A converted old barn known at The Coach House stands next to the quaint old stone dovecote dated 1789

* It offers a double room with vanity unit and a pleasant family room with antique furnishings.

* Family room has a double bed and adult bunks

* It has a spacious kitchen/diner with great washing up views

* The homely sitting room catches the sun and has views over the farm and Wetton Hill

* Wonderful views from small private garden at the rear of the barn on Gateham Hill

There is just so much to see and do on your doorstep - you just cant beat the location. Our farm is superbly located for all the Peak District has to offer. Just a mile and a half from 3 lovely villages, Alstonefield, Wetton and Hulme End all with pubs serving delicious food. Hartington is just 4 miles away with its Old Cheese Shop and plenty of eating places. Close to Dovedale, Alton Towers (amazing theme park), Bakewell (great for yummy Bakewell Pudding), Carsington Water and Chatsworth.

On the farm we have lambing in the Spring, followed by cows calving, then there's sheep shearing, haymaking and silaging. Along with their parents children are welcome to help bottle feed young lambs, help feed and water the expectant mothers and collect eggs for breakfast in the morning if the hens are laying. Certain times of the year are busier than others on the farm so what there is to see can vary, please feel free to enquire when booking your holiday.

PLEASE NOTE: WE WELCOME SHORTBREAKS - PLEASE E-MAIL STATING DATES AND GROUP SIZE AND WE WILL SEND YOU A QUOTE WHICH WILL ENABLE YOU TO BOOK AND PAY SECURELY VIA THE HOLIDAY LETTINGS WEBSITE
