A delightful, cosy cottage ideal for a peaceful break. Our dogs were made to feel
very welcome. Situated on a farm, there were lots of places to walk and a very good pub serving excellent food was within walking distance. The addition of coal and other fire making materials made the cottage warm and cosy once the night set in.

On the good side, the furnishings were quite new and of reasonable quality, both in the living room and in the bedrooms.

The cottage is ideally located for exploring the Dales and the many interesting places in the area. Thoroughly recommended to anyone wanting a quiet holiday away from the madding crowd.

Peaceful retreat convenient for lots of activities

Left on Dec 02, 2009 for a stay in April 2008

The cottage was very tidy and well appointed. We had snow while we were there, but the house was plenty warm enough, even for our 3 girls, who enjoyed playing in the field next door and the cycling and walking right on the doorstep. A short stroll across the field to the old railway, which proved very popular and we cycled and walked around the vicinity, with some trips slightly further afield …

My wife, kids and I stayed in this cottage in Feb of 2013, we have become fairly familiar with such properties as we've stayed in a fair few of them while I've been contracting.
